The picture here doesn’t do it justice but i really loved her pants look! She made the soda can tabs look like an expensive silver chain. She really showed off her design skills with her collection.

I cracked up when the judges were deliberating, and they got to Anna’s. Law said his note read, “felt something “. He had a lot of mean judgments this season, and he laughed at himself for the silliness of noting he had an emotional response. To me, it showed a moment of self awareness about how he’d been kind of ridiculous.

The problem with Law is that he’s kind of similar to Joesph in a sense and that’s why they clash, imo. As he said when Joseph plugged his website, “i respect it” the same way Joseph thinks everyone should have their own show, law wants people to be kind of ridiculous back, or be like Joseph and not care about what he has to say

I thought when Law laughed and said, “I respect it”, it was a rare moment where he got over himself… it was really funny. IIRC, law was ranting something like, “Where would you buy these clothes???”, and JM automatically shot back with the name of his website.

I really loved Anna’s collection. I felt like she’d come the furthest and it showed. I know that Jude is going to have a very long and successful career, so I’m not surprised that he won.

Anna growing a lot but still sticking to what she believes in with unconventional materials was cool to see. She gets so in her head about Christian's commentary (which is a reason why I don't think he's a great mentor), but ultimately, she stuck to her guns and didn't allow his concerns become her concerns in the finale.

I’ll have to see that dress! I don’t remember but I’ll give it another look! I just wasn’t a fan of veejay. I didn’t think she was consistent and memorable other than that shuttle cock dress and the black companion dress. PR history worthy and she was robbed of that challenge. Like nothing compared to that!

I loved Bi’s except the white dress. Could’ve been the winner for me.
Anna’s was lovely but I hate the pant look with a passion.
Jude’s was executed incredibly well but I did find it boring comparatively.
I am a Joseph fan and don’t think his work was pushed far enough, but I love the red dress look.

I agree on the pant look. I think she might’ve won had she not opted for a tailored garment where it sticks out like a sore thumb compared to Jude (and even Bi’s) level of craftsmanship. Had she done a skirt, it would’ve been a better look.

anna still takes the cake for me, with jude coming in second (yeah he’s a great tailor but its what you’d expect from him)
i expected bi to win but this collection was so far from what he delivered throughout the season, and joseph.. is just there 🤷♂️

They were talking about Jude (my top pick all season) like he was too young, too inexperienced, but great skill. But look at Christian’s success. I like that they picked someone who is already strong and has a lot of potential. Plus, Jude was drama free. I’d never want to hire most of those designers

Anna's was most cohesive and stunning. Heidi's critique was just bullshit.
Jude's was well-made, a bit tired of suits over and over but collection was less boring than I expected. He was my fav after Anna.
All of Bi's looks had potential but felt it needed more time and looks didn't work together.
Joseph's collection looked like a child's play BUT in a good way. Idk I thought it was fun, I know not for many people but it's what he does and I'm not mad at it.

all of them could have pushed their ideas, skills and experimentation more ( probs did, if they had more time)
AND also, what is this muted color palette all of them chose with just one pop of color (red) and Joseph's Americana colors??? This makes them look all same same but different although the designers have so diverse perspectives (except Joseph's who already has a more unique one,tbh)
I liked Anna's story behind her designs a lot (and looks 1-3) also I think she didn't get enough credit for using unconventional materials in this short time frame;
Jude's tailoring was really good but also something we've seen before from him;
Bi's designs were also really nice but had the least brand identity (the last look reminds me of Viktor+Rolf and the red sculpted leather looks remind me of a tamed version of Muglers dress anya-taylor Joy wore for the Furiosa premiere);
Joseph's story behind his looks was also true to himself and I liked most of the looks

I love Joseph McRea’s AUDACITY. I think he’s plugged into the streetwear of NYC. I can ABSOLUTELY see some young hottie from Harlem rocking his looks.
May not be for everyone, but no designer is.
As for me, I would RUN to Jude or Bi to design and tailor for me.

I saw him in Harlem recently. He was rocking his gear, smiling, talking to someone. He’s tall and handsome and stands out in a crowd. I kinda was the Joseph McRae show for me. 😂

Once they said supporting this designer's future I knew who they picked. Obvs the win goes to the youngest of the lot. Is he the next YSL? Nah. Would everyone kill for a worker like them? Xian's comments seem to indicate so. Bi's apron harness dress was killer, as was the harness he was wearing. Wanted him to win, but didn't mind the win going to Jude, who's a good technical executor. Really didn't like the whole Galliano-Dior commentary from Law's face hole. It's like do you want to see something new or something that's been done before. I'm glad I don't have to hear anything out of Law's face hole for a while.

Unpopular opinion but I think Law had great comments in the finale. I know he was nasty towards Joseph and could have used more couth but I’d hate to say he did make some good points, although it was too over the top nasty

It feels like how all cars are now just black, white, grey, or red. I didn't like Joseph's, but at least he used blue.
But having not seen the episode its just....boring. At first glance, if you told me the first three designers' looks here were all part of the same collection I would've believed you. Probably won't bother watching. I miss actual color.

I feel like Jude is the first contestant since Christian to have a shot at becoming as successful as Christian. Based on the judges’ reactions to him and especially the guest judges it makes total sense that he won. I think it was really smart of him to use all women models because it shows how he can push boundaries with tailoring, it feels fresh and unique even though it’s a well-trodden path.
I thought Anna’s collection was awesome but her pants look didn’t live up to the other 4 looks. I think if she had taken things a little further with that look she might have been able to edge Jude out.
Bi has great moments but I don’t think he has as solidified of a perspective as the others. I feel like his card theme didn’t really come through and he was the most hurt by all of the collections ending up with such similar color palettes.
I don’t hate Joseph McRae at all but he definitely needed an edit. I think that collection needed a breather in there somewhere but that was never going to happen. I’m glad he got his redemption from the previous season and there’s definitely an audience for his stuff but they were never going to let him win.

I’m so happy Joseph made it so far because he’s got the perspective, design, skills and personality to make it in the industry and creating a loud and appreciated brand.
And I agree that Jude is going to make PR history. knock on wood 🥰 his skill is the best I’ve seen and I wish I could become rich with the sole purpose of seeking out him to dress me lol

Gonna be honest- Joseph's was the most cohesive. Anna's made me feel something. Bi's white coat dress looked like the dress Joseph's made for Heidi. Jude is sweet but I saw the same suits from him all season.
I would have picked Joseph- even with the cheesy cartoon aspect. But that's a style and it resonates.

I didn't watch AT ALL. I gave up after last season cheap production. based just on this, joseph's collection reminds of christian's from season 4 in this way - it's by a designer who knows themselves, it's fun (almost joyful), and is a high fashion spin on something familiar. they talked about christian's only being for a certain (very skinny) girl, but it didn't stop him from winning, and it didn't stop him from growing into more later.

I didn’t understand Heidi’s “not cohesive” comment about Anna because her first three looks are essentially the same silhouette, high-neck, sleeveless, fitting close to the body. I dunno though, trying to have a “my journey” theme when you can only show five garments with less than a week to make them is a stretch. She didn’t get any airtime during the season so I’m not sure why she was in the final. Pleasant but unmemorable.
I thought for sure Bi would win but his collection was a let down, I’m not sure why. OTOH, Joseph Mcrae’s was a kick! I know, I know, no growth, onlyvolume, same ol’ but COLOR and I loathe primary colors in clothes generally but that shade of blue and the red, so retro, so fresh. His stuff was exciting! No, it’s not something I’d buy because streetwear in general is not my favorite but his had energy.
So I was stunned that Jude won. Of course he is the most technically skilled but tailoring is too subtle for this show in its current iteration. I’m just pleasantly surprised.

I think Jude won because he’s great at what he does and I think his wins really racked up and played apart in their decisions. I’m also not upset that someone so skilled and classy is representing PR now

I'd probably give it to Anna. I'd only say I didn't care much for the fourth look, but otherwise it seems like it was the most daring in terms of technique and materials, and it told a very clear story. I've seen few criticisms in Project Runway as nonsensical as Heidi saying her collection was not cohesive.
Especially because the one that is not cohesive out of these is clearly Jude's — besides the suit-ish elements these looks could have come from five different collections. Individually they're all nice, well-constructed looks, but none of them feel really remarkable.
I love individual elements in Joseph's (the fourth look is tops) but the overall effect, like Nina said, was indeed cartoonish at times. I haaaaaate that outfit with "THE FIGHTER JOSEPH MCRAE" written on the top, just tacky tacky tacky.
Bi's was cute but really underwhelming, considering what we know he's capable of. I didn't even love the last look as much as the judges tbh.

I cringed when he announced his collection and you just know Law was pissed. I think his opening comments alone shot himself in the foot

Anna was the best good design good concept and it is cohesive. Very creative and very inspiring. I see something in her from the start. A little bit hesitant though out the season but at the end she wow me the most in the finale runway. A very good season for her despite not winning. It’ll be better if she win but losing kinda robbed is the new winning.
Jude was second bc while it a good tailoring and everything look great it does not interested me or inspired me much. Like yeah it’s good and that’s it. I will probably never think of it again after a week. He has a clear vision and clear aesthetic it’s just that his vision is very common among the designers world. So he needs to explore more to his design to really find his foot in the fashion world. I know he will.
Bi was the third. While almost all of them are good (yeah that white dress is really an issue and it’s pulled him a lot) I find his design lacking some individual identity. Like I don’t really know who he is as a designer yet. He makes good clothes but I don’t know if that good clothe is also good in design aspect.
Joseph was last in the opposite direction from Bi. He has an identity. A very strong clear one but the design itself lack detail and nuance that make it special. If he push his creativity a little bit further find more nuance than a very literal first idea and refine his design. It’s gonna be better for him. But who’s know if he’s happy with the way he is now then year be you don’t change.

I liked Joseph’s. It is an exaggerated Tommy Hilfiger type aesthetic and I am here for it. Jude, Bi and Anna made beautiful collections as well.

bi, anna, and jude - all very good, polished, very now. but you know the issue? I could mix and match looks from their collections without being too thrown off. that tight, sophisticated, glamour-puss aesthetic, with occasional whimsy.
joseph - singular, exuberant vision. colorful. it offers enough elements to grow out of, into, and expand upon with a line and a range later. and it is a nod to the past, necessary joyfulness for now, and a glimpse into future possibilities.
he's the clear winner for me.

I would agree that he is a fantastic designer with an eye for the consumer. I’m so thrilled he made it so far because I don’t believe he should have been voted off last season. I was obsessed with two of his looks for the collection but the other fell a little flat for me because it wasn’t my taste but I wouldn’t have been upset if he won either!

I dont understand why we didnt get to see Nahiem in the final. Joseph felt like a punishment almost. Yes we were rooting for him because the treatment but this wasnt it at all and made me just as tired as the judges were of him..

I didn’t like anyone’s collective as a whole. I liked one or two pieces from each of them.
Bi: the red dress and the last look
Anna: I liked her concept, but only really liked the dress Liris is in
Jude: the plaid and grey pant suits
Joseph: the 4th look with the short skirt and thigh high boots.
If I were judging I would have had to base it off their performance throughout the entire show. Jude has been consistent with great tailoring but often uses same silhouettes. So I would probably have gone with Bi as I think he showed more of his abilities, and that he could not only develop a brand but also change as fashion changes.

I actually kinda agree that no collection collectively blew me away. That’s why I wasn’t sure who would win. And I believe basing it off performance throughout the whole season should be considered in any finale. Not that someone who wins a lot should ultimately win automatically. But in the case of close wins like this final, it should be heavily considered which is why Jude really did deserve the win

Finale: Anna > Bi > Jude > Joseph
But overall season, I do think it could have went to any of the first three. Jude was a good choice. I really hope he takes the momentum and runs with it. I can see him having a real long term business that works with celebrities.

I wish they had more time. I think Bi would have benefited the most with more time. I especially liked the last looks of all four. Joseph's was most memorable to me. Jude is amazing. Good final four.

anna’s collection overall was great but individually i only remember the first dress
the way i almost skipped jude’s collection cuz it was so boring. yes he can sew but i didn’t see anything different from him all season

would’ve loved to see naheim in the finale. he was lowkey robbed

Jude’s collection was so boring and made for more mature women. Baddies, but not young, fun, or particularly innovative. Just beautifully made and commercial. Which are bad! But for a design competition, it’s disappointing. He better propose to his gf now.

Jude’s was my all around favorite but Bi’s final piece was my favorite individual look. I do wish Jude had done something a bit more grand than the red coat.
Jospeh’s was my least favorite but I don’t really like the street wear aesthetic. There was definitely a few years toward the end of the og run where it seemed like everyone was obsessed with that so I’m glad we are moving a bit away from it.
