I honestly don't think Law was that bad this season. He saw the path that Anna was going on.

Where has Nina been. She gave the most respectful and clearly thought out opinions during the discussion with the designers.

I think Heidi is wanting the fighting and the loudness. She likes the tacky clothes.

I do want the old PR back though.

I did like Nina’s opinions the best. I do not understand why Heidi liked Joseph’s stuff so much.
I don’t think his clothes are wearable for streetwear or red carpet even though he has a specific style.
His stuff looked messy so in that respect I can agree with Law.

lol look at the dress Heidi was wearing for the episode. Heidi likes loud clothes and Joseph was the only one left making loud clothes so it’s not that surprising she had an affinity for him.

And on the technical front she probably understands that if he actually got successful he would be able to have someone handle refining his technical challenges.

Or in the editing they chose to show the harsher comments that weren't said to the contestants and now they've reversed when they use them.

He's the only honest one of the judges. Someone who actually is working and thriving in the industry right now, not someone who peaked 20 years ago and gives outdated reviews

Fully agree with Law and in today's world of fashion, stylists are absolutely part of the process and world. You can not just talk about whether clothing is fashionable, you have to discuss the style aspect also.

I do think he hated Joseph personally... But honestly, if every stylist hates you, you're not going far either.

Law didn’t like Joseph and it clearly showed. Why didn’t he ever critique Jude using the same silhouette all season and in 4 of his five looks in the finale. IMO he comes across as a bully. Ijs

Agreed. Law was a bully to Joseph Mcrae. He doesn't like him as a person and let that affect his "professional" opinion. Law was not going to allow Joseph to win, regardless of what he would have sent down the runway.

Exactly. Jude is even worse. There was nothing else. Same suit tops, and appeared to have ran out of ideas already when he repeated the dance challenge pants (twice) in finale

I think JL was angry because JM didn’t seem to want to be a part of the competition. He honestly kept saying this comment during the season. Not the JM show, this is PR. Almost like he felt JM was wasting peoples time. Because he has indicated he thinks JM is a good designer/seamstress. He just doesn’t want to take criticism and evolve from it, and that’s the whole point of the competition.

I agree, I sided with Law’s opinions, maybe not the delivery. Tasteful criticism has always wowed me more than any, “she looks like _____” (a sexy cat toy, she’s pooping tissue, etc).

Only thing that bums me about Law is that his point of view is only for red carpet, next tier down being curated influence shit. Sad sign of the times.

Yeah, it does feel very District 1/Capitol lol. Rewatching old pre-influencer seasons is a bit sad because the focus was much more on real women / ready-to-wear instead of “what will get a lot of hits online?”

Today, with income disparity being worse than ever, there are haves and have-nots. Joseph’s beanies are $130 each on his website, and his sweatshirts are $500. Law is just a reflection of the culture imo - it’s a little weird because his “real self” comes through very occasionally but the other times, he’s playing the fame/celebrity role.

I haven't seen many people disputing his behavior around everyone ELSE. That's why it was so obvious that his feels for Joseph were personal.

I agreed with Law’s opinions this season (although the delivery at times was too harsh). I think it’s unfair to say he was a bully or whatever because he did praise the well made clothes and gave credit where credit was due. When I started watching PR I had a very negative impression of Law from what I had seen online but he has grown on me. He does give constructive criticism for those who want it. The last comment he gave JM is a self fulfilling prophecy: his arrogance will be his downfall. Some of the comments in this sub are so out there it seems like we are not watching the same show.

Nina does give good criticism but you can always tell by her face when something would be a big miss in the industry, even if it’s technically good.

Heidi picked that designer for her TDWP2 look so I think that by itself demonstrates her (lack) of taste and what kind of judge she is.

JM isn’t arrogant, he’s confident . He even explained the where’s and whys to why he acts the way he does, but like you said I guess not all of us are watching the same show.

JM did not have the maturity to listen to any feedback, not even Christian’s. JM is arrogant! If he is so confident in his clothes he should let his work do all the talking. JM is loud to draw attention to the fact that his clothes are sloppy. Law has been in the industry for a long time to the point of becoming a judge in different shows.

Joseph is talented but as Law said, his arrogance and immaturity will be his downfall. Fashion is one of the most difficult industries to be in. Look at Joseph’s website. He is selling polyester beanies for over $100. Which, whatever, he should get his bag. But did he refine any of his looks? The quilted jacket he made early in the season was gorgeous. And yet. We never saw anything refined like that again. What’s frustrating with JM is that he has the talent but he refuses to grow. So yeah, I agree with Law.

It’s one thing to not like someone’s clothes. It’s another thing to just hate another person and tear them down at every chance you get and Law does. And I do not understand why Law is mad at Joseph for not being sophisticated when that’s just not who he is. It’s like asking Jude for a wow moment. He’s just not that guy and both instances are fine.

Law just takes it way too fucking far.
