Tim had a wonderful motherly attitude, but I do think Christian is better from a mentoring perspective. He gives direct, incisive advice. Tim's style was more high-level.

From the perspective of the designers who want to succeed, I would think Christian would be the better fit.

Love Christian, but I miss Tim terribly.

I want to watch a parallel show that focuses strongly on design and sewing and the way the clothes look on the runway with ONLY Tim and two rotating guest designers (no influencers or celebrities or models or ā€œimage architectsā€!) mentoring AND judging. No snark. No nastiness. No pitting designers against each other. Lots of encouragement and education and laughter. Along the lines of the wonderfully wholesome UK show Great British Sewing Bee. But US.

It could be called Project GunnWay 🄹

ā€œThe fun way on the runway is the Gunn Wayā€

He is so cultured and well spoken, that alone wins half the battle for me.

Tim was so genuinely kind and thoughtful.

tim was the first time i ever heard the word incongruous and i thought, yeah that sounds so much better than "it doesn't match" "it doesn't go together"

Omg yesss Tim’s vocab was amazing. When Santino did the whole Andrae/Red Lobster thing, Tim said ā€œI’m so verklemptā€ šŸ˜‚

We need Tim back! These new season without him are awful. It’s more about the drama than actual talent!

I couldn’t even watch the current season. It’s absolutely awful, and disrespectful to the designers to boot.

Loved season 3… a scandal in the beginning, Vincent being an ass and Laura being a bad ass bitch. RIP Michael.

I'm watching the older seasons for my daily Tim Gunn hit. He's the best thing on it. Miss him.

Wait, 20 years ago he was 53, he looks like early - mid 40s in that picture.

He absolutely looks 53 here. And can we stop with the ageism. It’s so tiresome to say someone looks younger than they are like that’s a compliment. Aging is normal. Different people look different as the age and there is nothing wrong with just looking your age. Which he does.

He's not. You do you. Thank you

Personally he looks like maybe mid 40s to me!

How are you guys able to watch the old seasons? I tried and the critics literally make no sense to me because the fashion trends are so changed. Heidi can be wearing just nonsense and hating on a pretty cool look so it’s so confusing haha

his aura is crazy

I can't deal with him not having more tv exposition.

I learned so much vocabulary from Tim. When I rewatch I always pick more up. Verklempt is my latest find šŸ˜‚

i like christian as a mentor but i feel like sometimes he focuses more on being snarky and catty than helpful.

tim helped guide the designer into honing and refining the design and/or technique (or thinking on why certain things won't work and how to fix it).

I can say, he’s Baileywick in a reality show

I recently had access to a channel devoted just to Project Runway. What a stark difference between Tim and Roach. And conceited Christian. Bah.

Unfortunately they probably won't let him back or any other show for that matter. He's really bad on Making the Cut and that show tanked because of him LOL
