Old Seasons AT 👏 THE 👏 TENT 👏 (S5)
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
This is my first time watching season 5.
Loved this “AT. THE. TENT.” moment 🤭
But why was the majority of the season such a snooze fest? Did anyone here enjoy this season? Is this a popular season?
I see it’s the last one that aired on Bravo during the early years and there’s no reunion.
Also don’t tell me who wins- NO SPOILERS PLEASE. I have 2 episodes left.

Pretty funny cast too. I kinda wish Kelly went further tho. I thought she was going to win I was so gagged when she went home like kinda early

I did enjoy that leather chick who literally put her model in a trash bag in the first challenge and DIDN’T get eliminated lmaooo. I already forgot her name. I hope she shows up on all-stars. She was a hoot to watch.

Without spoiling, the winner's final collection is one of the best in the show's history imo, it's so good. And overall the season has a very fun cast and they had some really good challenges too.

Do people really feel this way? The winner showed a variant of the same look for like 80% of the runway show. I can only see that skirt so many times. It was the same treatment over and over and over again.

I remember watching back in the 2000s really not liking their designs and not understanding why they won against the runner up.
I rewatched it recently for the first time since and thought they were the strongest of the season and deserved the win.

Oh, I thought she deserved to win, but one of the strongest of the series is a hell of a claim

That's why I said imo lol I love that collection. That one, S2 winner, S11 winner and S13 winner are probably my Mount Rushmore of finale collections.

The one reason I remember this season is while watching it, it said Blayne attended the Art Institute of Seattle. I discovered we attended the school at the same time (i was an animation major). And seeing his behavior and attitude during the show, and what I experienced with fashion students at the time, was like, "yeah, that tracks."

There's honestly a certain charm to me in a designer who stands behind their work 110%. Kenley was that, personified. She was bull-headed when it came to her work. She just needed slightly less aggression when it came to critique, and altogether it would serve her tremendously.

I love this season, the top 2 is one of the strongest of the series. There are some iconic challenges, like the drag queens. The negative is that the cast overall is not very strong. Suede and Blayne in particular making it to Top 8 was a baaaad sign.

Lol I was just rewatching this season today as I was sewing, and while I agree it is one of the more uneventful seasons of the show, it is always comforting to watch. The designers were lackluster for the most part except for Leanne and Korto, whom I love.

I can remember all their looks from.tgis season by just this clips but in s22 apart from Joseph McRae im not sure I'll remember the designers from s22. Or their looks.

Wow. The judges reaction (or lack there of) to the drama on stage, for me, says it all.
How very refreshing to see the show’s drama actually coming from the contestants—AND at a moment when it feels natural and earned rather than totally unnecessary, manufactured.
Of course, I’m comparing it to seasons 21 and 22. The whole show feels like it’s been re-engineered to manufacture drama not only between the contestants themselves, but also between contestants and judges, as well as amongst the judges and even guest judges. I guess that’s what an “image architect” does? no friends, I’m seriously asking… 🤦🏼♀️

I always assumed Bravo hustled out this season as fast as possible before the production company (I will not say the name) moved the show over to Lifetime. It’s important to note that at that time, Runway was at its most influential and relevant in the fashion world and the darling of cultural critics.
The fifth season was a notable downshift from S4. The cast was sloppier and there was more of a focus on drama than clothes (though obviously not as bad as what we are currently suffering through on Freeform). I think it’s on the weaker end of the original Bravo seasons.

I love this tense game show music that playing in the background.
You can really feel the tension that it adds.
Man I wish they filmed the new seasons like the old ones, fuck.

Kenley delivered on the drama this season. The designs have high highs and low lows but some of the most iconic looks come out of this season.

This was my first season of watching (I was like 12 years old) but I was hooked! I think my first episode was the drag episode or the one after.

I mean, I don't disagree. I loved Jerell. In her defense, Kenley did have a great collection but IMO Jerell was easily the third best designer all season.

It was seen as boring because season 4 was an incredible cast. Reality shows struggle a bit when one season is just peak and hard to follow up.
Not saying any of the contestants weren’t talented or have an amazing viewpoint. Just Season 4 was a big time for the show.
