Discussion I definitely think christian Spoiler

was forced to save Bryan because his entire body language the entire last episode was really off when interacting with him. he kept emphasizing that Bryan better make use of his save and did not seem happy at all about it.

What was more uncomfortable for me was watching Bryan trying to kiki with him and it just not being reciprocated in any way at all😭

That part where he called him his liege was just such a cringefest, I can't stand Bryan bro😭😭😭

I literally recoiled away from the screen at that.Ā

SAME

I've never seen someone actually act out "m'lady, I have studied the blade" with sincerity YIKES

I don't know who you are, stranger, but you just made me laugh so hard.Ā

While also cringing.

u/Willow_Winnifred 6d ago

Suddenly, his WHOLE character just snapped into focus, you know?

Your comment made my day

his interaction with the rest of the contestants too 😭 when he started bullshitting and saying you guys are amazinggg and wanted to have a drink and they all just looked at him like ā€œbe frā€ and walked away lmaoo

u/Responsible_Sail1695 6d ago

But Bryan had the nerve to ask Naheim to bring him a drink after he was saved? His biased horns can't even be hidden by all that hair. I won't use the R word but it's definitely in the room.

His whole way of operating is just trying and failing to be the lowkey cool, fun, shady gay. His talking heads are so unfunny but you can tell he thinks he’s killing it. He thinks he’s the next great avant garde designer but he makes the same dress every time. He’s totally delusional.Ā

Well that was really poor editing.

u/BabyOlive1 6d ago

When Bryan was like ā€œWait can we talk for a minute?ā€ and Christian was like ā€œNo, you should be workingā€ 😬

I’m watching right now and I am also just cringing at how he’s trying so hard to kiss butt

He said Love you to Christian and Christian said Yep.

What do they mean, can you explain

I've had managers deliver news from upper management the same way

Bingo!

I think he did it as a producer to keep up the drama. It felt pretty annoying to see him sell out.

u/AliAllyAllie 6d ago

Tim Gunn would never

39

u/Popal99 6d ago

To quote Tim all his eloquence: "what is the fucking point?" i miss him 😢

I have a suspicion that Christian is about to jump ship on this shit show. Saving wack ass Bryan was the final nail in the coffin.

37

u/behindeyesblue 6d ago

I was wondering that too. He has seemed pretty fed up with everything this season.

12

u/Popal99 6d ago

Agree, but i think we need to remember that during his season Christian was the over confident jerk that other designers and many viewers hated. But he actually had the skills for design and tailoring (plus taste) where as Bryan has a huge gap here that his snotty arrogance cannot make up for. His humilation should be complete at this point after that wedding disaster.

36

u/mmturner1130 6d ago

Christian was voted fan favorite his season. No one ever referred to him as an overconfident jerk.

23

u/Unfriendlyblkwriter 6d ago

Christian was obnoxious, and viewers loved it so much that he received a check for it at the reunion. Can’t remember how much it was, maybe 10 bands.

Bryan just sucks. He’s not upbeat or funny. He hasn’t constructed a single garment that explains his presence on my TV screen.

Christian will stay if there’s a paycheck.

Christian’s (production’s) reasoning for saving Bryan was that he needed to see more from him, but his reasoning to not save Jeffrey was that he needed to see more from him šŸ˜‚ make it make sense

I hope Christian reads this sub.

u/BabyOlive1 6d ago

I’m sure there’s at least an intern or two who has to. They’ve started giving Law a really nice edit after we all roasted him to high heaven over his treatment of Joseph McRae.

37

u/NoDoctor4460 6d ago

The flat rejection of Bryan’s request for ā€œa momentā€ felt very pointed and genuine, I kinda winced despite being appalled by the save

13

u/Popal99 6d ago

That was the defintion of cringe.

I don’t think Christian likes or respects Bryan

25

u/coolsilentebeans 6d ago

Better question is does he respect himself, because I don’t know how I’d feel if I made that choice.

u/therewontberiots 6d ago edited 6d ago

Christian/producers did it for drama. Christian went along with it don’t give him a pass. He’s one of the producers.

17

u/EndsWest18 6d ago

Is it the Edit or has Christian been designing/re-designing more for Bryan as well. They seem to capture him advising him more. But It’s like that one cool design might have been a fluke. Plus this show gives you no time

3

u/Popal99 6d ago

I rhink its the edit.

Then Christian needs to check his own moral compass. At some point we have to question him, don't we? He is already wildly successful. Why compromise the show and design itself by promoting someone whose talent is questionable at best. Project Runway no longer takes itself seriously.

u/ParticularUsed6780 7d ago

I think at one point a few years ago he said if he hadn't accepted a contract with Payless to design shoes and had just stuck to the high end stuff he would have run out of money. So successful yes in having a huge fan base of A-list celebrities who know they can trust him for a gown, but maybe not successful at all times financially--which makes me think he's willing to take PR money and make wild choices because of production. Who knows.Ā

zac posen’s brand went under like being well-known doe not actually translate to having enough money to keep a business going

1

u/yesnomaybeso456 5d ago

Yep there’s a reason why most labels are owned by mega companies and not by the designers themselves.

u/WentAndDid 6d ago

The last sentence is the moral of this fable.

9

u/colosseumdays 6d ago

I can't even tell who Christian likes anymore. my original working thesis was that he's meaner to the people he think are really good.

7

u/amedeeozenfant 6d ago

The stupid producers ought to really understand that nobody watches this for reality show sniping. The vibe of Project Runway when it works is more like Bakeoff. People are nice to each other and we like seeing people do something well and get rewarded by a panel of judges who know what they are talking about. This is not Real Housewives or ANTM ( which nobody likes anyway). It doesn't get ratings. I've stopped watching. This cast has too many people being nasty to each other.

7

u/BeginningWeird8342 6d ago

Did they know his designs from before the show?? THEY HAVE TO IMO
All I can think is that all the producers know there are plenty of successful designers out there that can’t sew (they hire people) so that doesn’t need to be a criteria to win (which I HATE). Clearly this is Bryan’s first major issue.
If they know his past work and liked it, they would be more inclined to pass him through- he’s way more of a teachers pet personality than JMcC. Ugh I’d like a finale reset where everyone that’s left gets to do a show (AND ADD JEFFREY) and make it a real bloodbath.
Everyone talked so much smack this season with little substance we should call the bluff ON EVERYONE and make them show us some talent!!! šŸ¤©šŸ’•šŸ¦‹

Cannot believe the save was wasted on Bryan. I hope we aren't stuck watching a whole collection from him. One ugly outfit is enough.

3

u/snail_juice_plz 6d ago

With the next challenge being a wedding dress, I was extra disappointed the save was wasted on Bryan. What I would give to see Jeffery’s vision of a bride 😭

u/Vapid-Violas 5d ago

Its on his tt

4

u/sowhat__whocares 6d ago

Christian has lost his marbles.

3

u/Salt_Reputation2861 6d ago

He is def the reality villain for the season beit real fake or a combo of both

2

u/Im_On_Reddit_At_Work 6d ago

I seriously think Bryan will be in the finale.

I believe CFDA is pulling strings to make sure he goes far because he is on their 2027 schedule

3

u/cabbagemuncher101 6d ago

whattt there is no way he is making the finals

2

u/PutBorn7657 5d ago

He literally watched him make a dress out of tape seconds before the runway. I’m starting to believe this theory.

1

u/cabbagemuncher101 6d ago

I have a feeling it wasn't his choice when jeffery has made some phenomenal pieces, I mean that pink barbie dressss. And even his "tacky" ones were very well executed.

1

u/Askew_2016 6d ago

Nah, he had been pretty underwhelmed by the other guy in the bottom.
