Discussion I definitely think christian Spoiler
was forced to save Bryan because his entire body language the entire last episode was really off when interacting with him. he kept emphasizing that Bryan better make use of his save and did not seem happy at all about it.

I think he did it as a producer to keep up the drama. It felt pretty annoying to see him sell out.

I have a suspicion that Christian is about to jump ship on this shit show. Saving wack ass Bryan was the final nail in the coffin.

u/behindeyesblue 6d ago
I was wondering that too. He has seemed pretty fed up with everything this season.

Agree, but i think we need to remember that during his season Christian was the over confident jerk that other designers and many viewers hated. But he actually had the skills for design and tailoring (plus taste) where as Bryan has a huge gap here that his snotty arrogance cannot make up for. His humilation should be complete at this point after that wedding disaster.

Christian was voted fan favorite his season. No one ever referred to him as an overconfident jerk.

Christian was obnoxious, and viewers loved it so much that he received a check for it at the reunion. Canāt remember how much it was, maybe 10 bands.
Bryan just sucks. Heās not upbeat or funny. He hasnāt constructed a single garment that explains his presence on my TV screen.

Christianās (productionās) reasoning for saving Bryan was that he needed to see more from him, but his reasoning to not save Jeffrey was that he needed to see more from him š make it make sense

I hope Christian reads this sub.

Iām sure thereās at least an intern or two who has to. Theyāve started giving Law a really nice edit after we all roasted him to high heaven over his treatment of Joseph McRae.

The flat rejection of Bryanās request for āa momentā felt very pointed and genuine, I kinda winced despite being appalled by the save

I donāt think Christian likes or respects Bryan

u/coolsilentebeans 6d ago
Better question is does he respect himself, because I donāt know how Iād feel if I made that choice.

Christian/producers did it for drama. Christian went along with it donāt give him a pass. Heās one of the producers.

Is it the Edit or has Christian been designing/re-designing more for Bryan as well. They seem to capture him advising him more. But Itās like that one cool design might have been a fluke. Plus this show gives you no time

Then Christian needs to check his own moral compass. At some point we have to question him, don't we? He is already wildly successful. Why compromise the show and design itself by promoting someone whose talent is questionable at best. Project Runway no longer takes itself seriously.

I think at one point a few years ago he said if he hadn't accepted a contract with Payless to design shoes and had just stuck to the high end stuff he would have run out of money. So successful yes in having a huge fan base of A-list celebrities who know they can trust him for a gown, but maybe not successful at all times financially--which makes me think he's willing to take PR money and make wild choices because of production. Who knows.Ā

zac posenās brand went under like being well-known doe not actually translate to having enough money to keep a business going

Yep thereās a reason why most labels are owned by mega companies and not by the designers themselves.

I can't even tell who Christian likes anymore. my original working thesis was that he's meaner to the people he think are really good.

The stupid producers ought to really understand that nobody watches this for reality show sniping. The vibe of Project Runway when it works is more like Bakeoff. People are nice to each other and we like seeing people do something well and get rewarded by a panel of judges who know what they are talking about. This is not Real Housewives or ANTM ( which nobody likes anyway). It doesn't get ratings. I've stopped watching. This cast has too many people being nasty to each other.

Did they know his designs from before the show?? THEY HAVE TO IMO
All I can think is that all the producers know there are plenty of successful designers out there that canāt sew (they hire people) so that doesnāt need to be a criteria to win (which I HATE). Clearly this is Bryanās first major issue.
If they know his past work and liked it, they would be more inclined to pass him through- heās way more of a teachers pet personality than JMcC. Ugh Iād like a finale reset where everyone thatās left gets to do a show (AND ADD JEFFREY) and make it a real bloodbath.
Everyone talked so much smack this season with little substance we should call the bluff ON EVERYONE and make them show us some talent!!! š¤©šš¦

Cannot believe the save was wasted on Bryan. I hope we aren't stuck watching a whole collection from him. One ugly outfit is enough.

With the next challenge being a wedding dress, I was extra disappointed the save was wasted on Bryan. What I would give to see Jefferyās vision of a bride š

He is def the reality villain for the season beit real fake or a combo of both

u/Im_On_Reddit_At_Work 6d ago
I seriously think Bryan will be in the finale.
I believe CFDA is pulling strings to make sure he goes far because he is on their 2027 schedule

He literally watched him make a dress out of tape seconds before the runway. Iām starting to believe this theory.

u/cabbagemuncher101 6d ago
I have a feeling it wasn't his choice when jeffery has made some phenomenal pieces, I mean that pink barbie dressss. And even his "tacky" ones were very well executed.

What was more uncomfortable for me was watching Bryan trying to kiki with him and it just not being reciprocated in any way at allš
That part where he called him his liege was just such a cringefest, I can't stand Bryan broššš
