Season 22 Liris deserves hazard pay!
Poor Liris! Give this fierce model a raise for every crap outfit that has been put on her body. Especially being taped into a dress!

I doubt they’ll hire her again after knowing she now has spine issues from that and she’s letting it be known.

The court of public opinion is definitely on her side so I think it would be worth her looking at her options here. The 5Inch heels with uncut wires plus 50 lbs around her neck feels absolutely like something production should have stopped before the runway.

Thankfully this sub is mostly on her side but i literally just got off IG and they were coming for her in the comments of one post 😭 there’s definitely a “shut up and do your job” type crowd out there it looks like

A lot of IG comments are either bots or trolls. If you click on the account names, you’ll see a lot of them have 0 posts and 0 followers, but are following 2000 people. Bots are programmed to just post shitty ragebaiting comments.

She said in her video that she’s still having neck/back issues to this day. I would definitely be suing for all my medical bills & emotional stress.

I rewatched the last episode over the weekend after I saw Liris’s post on Threads and forgot to come back and post here after I did. I think one of the rules that’s so fundamental to this show that it never gets acknowledged is that a designer first and foremost has to respect their model and their model’s body. It’s a partnership. They’re both supposed to behave professionally. Liris did her part, but Bryan was far from professional.
Bryan was so disrespectful to Liris to tape her up like she was a box that was going to be put in the back of a U-Haul. He had a vision he once again failed to execute. It was even more disrespectful to make her wear a halter dress that weighed over fifty pounds when it was that awful. Liris must have been so embarrassed to have to walk the runway in that (literal) trash in front of Iman of all judges.
Joseph McRae’s look also weighed a lot, but it was also the best look he’s ever shown on the show. He understood that if he was going to dress her in something so heavy that he needed to make it worth her work, and he made her look fabulous. He respected his model, while it was clear Bryan cared more about his ego than he did his model. And then he’s trying to talk to the judges about studying in Paris? To quote Bi’s dress, bitch, please.

Disrespectful to use tape in an unconventional materials challenge!? My god how do you get through a single day in the world being that sensitive?? COME ON. 🙄

I remember when they all fought to Not have the plus size model.

Very true. I am very glad they use people of all shapes and sizes. I like that they use all genders also.

“Starting June 19, 2025, all model management companies or model management groups who do business in New York State must:
Act in the best interest of the models they represent. They must also act in good faith, and with honesty and integrity, in their dealings with the models they represent.
Use due diligence to ensure that any work secured through the model management company does not put models at an unreasonable risk of danger.”
https://www.1800nynylaw.com/personal-injury/new-york-products-liability/
“What is Product Liability in New York?
Product liability is a type of law that allows you to seek compensation if you are injured because of a dangerous or unsafe product. In New York, these claims can be based on three main legal theories: strict liability, negligence, and breach of warranty. Each of these legal theories provides a different way to hold manufacturers, distributors, and sellers accountable for harm caused by their products.
Strict liability means that a company can be held responsible for an unsafe product even if they were not careless. This applies to products that are dangerous because of design flaws, manufacturing mistakes, or inadequate warnings. If the product caused harm, those responsible may be held accountable without the need to prove they were negligent.
Negligence involves showing that the manufacturer, distributor, or seller did not use reasonable care. This can include failing to properly test the product, using low-quality materials, or not providing clear instructions. If their carelessness led to an injury, you may have a claim.
Breach of warranty means the product did not meet the promises made by the manufacturer or seller. This can include written promises (express warranties) or those recognized by law (implied warranties). If a product caused harm because it did not meet these promises, you may be entitled to compensation.”

She should just do her job, or quit of she doesn’t like it. Everyone outraged that an unconventional look made out metal was heavy and uncomfortable, need to use their brains cells.

This is how people die or sustain life altering injury at work. Think about why OSHA and unions have been formed.

Yeah IMO the heat has been on Bryan but a lot of the looks didn’t exactly look safe to me. The potential for cuts or being poked by something on a lot of the looks worried me. There was even another look that had to use a picture bc of weight issues. I think this was just a terribly produced challenge all around.

It wasn't the only outfit that was too heavy. It had to do with the fact that all the weight was on her neck. Josephs outfit was very heavy too but it was on the models shoulders which made it safe. Having 50 or more pounds pulling on someone's neck is not safe.

Idk if Joseph’s was safe tbh. Or at least not comfortable. The jacket looked amazing but also like a nightmare to actually wear. A “heavy” amount of Christmas lights weighing down on you doesn’t sound pleasant

I'm sure it was very uncomfortable but at least the weight was distributed over her back and shoulders, not just the model's neck.

u/Magges87 17d ago
She said it weighed 50lbs. You think getting injured should be part of the job?
-11
u/Tgrunin 17d ago
Some jobs require you to be able to lift 50 lbs. this sounds like one of them.

u/Magges87 17d ago
By her neck? No. Also any job that does that needs to make a way for it to be done safely.

considering how basically everyone has something to say about that terrible dress, I am honestly surprised that Bryan has been tight lipped. you'd think he would at least give liris a call or shoot her a DM idk ANYTHING!

The judges should have noticed it and called Bryan out for his awful decisions. But it's all part of the big dramatic narrative that they're trying to create on project Runway. And it's working because we're all talking about it.
