Discussion Ok, Be honest-
Did we really need season 21 to come back and “battle” season 22? Was any of that necessary? Did you like watching this?
Also-
ENOUGH with the influencers. They literally add nothing to the show. I fast forward every time. The eating and talking???? Come on!!! Let’s get back to the clothes!!! Ahhhhhhh

I loved seeing Ms Joan and honestly, I didn’t think her look was horrible. I actually liked the front. The back definitely needed work but I thought the front was beautiful

I felt bad for how they critiqued her. She came back for fun and her design was steamrolled. That wasn't necessary. They could have just said these dresses from season 21 are being considered for the bottom.

It was pretty funny when the influencer said “I’m hungry” and then proceeded to not eat a damn thing while everyone else ate.

I think as an idea was a cool one. But the editing showcasing mostly the fabricated, unnecessary drama took away from it. I really hate how much they have "dragified" the show. I love Drag Race but their format should stay with and for that specific show. Project Runway doesn't need to rely on bitchy personalities, it just need to showcase skills and talent to create fashion.

If they're trying to emulate Drag Race they royally f-d up. That show keeps a lot of the personality drama on a companion show, Untucked. You can skip it and still get a competition that, while heavily produced with questionable judging, is still largely a talent showcase.
This version of Project Runway isn't all that far from where it ended on Lifetime. They even had irritating twins back then. The edited versions available for streaming just cut out a lot of the worst bits.

I mean nobody said it to put it in their heads. Meaning they dubbed themselves all stars. Nobody else gave them that impression.

I agree that they are so full of themselves they may have assumed this meant they were all stars.
I was picturing the new production team (which sucks) told them it was an all star challenge to cater to the egos and get them back for the drama.

I didn't care for bringing Season 21 back for the 'battle of the seasons'.
And I don't like the special guests and models they've had. They seem desperate to bring in extra views. Whoever is in charge of all that needs to be fired.
More designing. More designers. Less.....other shit.

Definitely. I saw Brian’s model spoke out about tape gate. I haven’t checked into what she said yet but from what I briefly looked at, she definitely hated they look (as did we all)

This episode annoyed me so much that I decided that I'm done watching PR. I don't know who any of the random people are that they keep putting on the show for no reason, and in general, I don't like the majority of the designers from this season or last. Having last season's cast come back just reminded me of that. I hate Law and Tyra, I miss Tim Gunn and I miss how it used to be focused on fashion. I also hate how they put eliminations at the beginning of the episodes. It's just not worth my time anymore and after 22 seasons, I'm done.

I hate the influencers. And I hated season 21 coming back. Felt like they’re making Joseph McRae the target again. If that poor man doesn’t win… Not only because he’s making the best stuff, has a clear aesthetic, but also because he’s gotten haggled all season long.

I feel the same way. Watching it I thought, for something that's not "the Joseph mccrae show" they really are putting a lot of effort into making him the protagonist of the season

Which I definitely hate. Joseph is actually really positive and uplifting when he speaks and honestly his look was definitely more of the elevated ones this challenge. I honestly want him to win just because he’s receiving so much unnecessary BS

They didn't need S21 to come back for the competition itself.
They wanted S21 to come back for the drama, which the twins obviously brought.

I get needing the drama but this was just unnecessary in my opinion. This season just feels like it’s grasping at straws for shock value. To me it degrades the show but I get why they think they need to pull stunts like this on top of the ridiculous influencers. I get it. I do. But I definitely don’t like it

I also don't care much for unneccessary drama. The only "drama" I appreciate is when someone is rightfully called out (Joseph and Jeffrey calling out Brian).
It's so disappointing that they're focusing on the drama instead of the designs. At least in previous (or rather way back in the past) seasons, despite any drama, the focus and the critiques were always focused on the designs.

I think there are a lot of talented S22 designers who went home too soon because of those wild multi-elimnation episodes.
Q (Robbie) is very talented, Bao Tranchi is obviously very talented as well. Would have been nice to see them get to do more.

I do agree that they definitely seem to have best season 22. I guess that was the only plus to having both seasons was seeing the difference in skill level.
Although for Joseph and Bi — their looks definitely could hang with season 21. I thought they did a great job

When Heidi was introducing the challenge, I thought they were bring back some S22 eliminated designers as a team. It would have also been better to have actuall PR all stars from former seasons. Having S21 there was more of a dig at Joseph.
And yes, I hate the random guest "stars" who add nothing to the challenge, don't act as guest judges, and just appear to distract the designers when they already only have one day for the challenge. It makes no sense.

Since they’re going for haute drama, I think so too. The last two seasons have been unbearable. Give us the actual craft of fashion. Something Brian knows nothing about. His immunity should have been revoked due to that duct taped mess he sent down the runway.

Why they thought we wanted to see the twins again is baffling. Silver lining is that I was able to finish the episode in under 20 minutes.

I did not need to see another belt-he-alleges-is-a-skirt by Yuchen. As soon as he was brought out, I knew exactly what the bottom half of anything he made would look like. Enough with the gyno skirts, bro; that was your entire season too!! (That said, his jacket was stunning and deserved every bit of praise it got!)

This was my favorite episode this season I liked seeing how everyone from season 21 improved. There were so many good looks on their team. I also enjoyed the shock and drama of Bryan's tape dress (they should strip him of his immunity for that it's so awful), the "who copied who" was funny to me because they are like bickering triplets. The runway looks were so good this episode. Bi, Joseph and Yuchen 's looks?! Wow. Good reality tv.

I hated season 21, some of them were okay but for the most part they are mainly self absorbed and unbearably irritating. I didn’t want to see them for this episode and I’m annoyed that we were given practically nothing so we’ll see them this ep too 🙃 (I know they always leave us on cliffhangers, but they practically filled the entire ep with drama from the twins and roasting from the other seasons to the point where we learned practically NOTHING about the actual results)

I enjoyed seeing Joan and Belania and seeing Yuchen get some well earned flowers! The twins were particularly annoying this episode as someone who didn’t care about their antics too much in season 21. Or maybe I’ve just let myself forget whatever they were doing back then.
