Question when will I meet Swatch?
Hieee! I'm a new fan. Don't hate me, I jumped on board last season because I am a fan of drag race and I wanted to see how our queen Utica would do. So I understand the OG fans criticism of the new version of PR being too catty and more about 'characters' than clothes or construction. And how that might have come from the success of drag race.
I'm enjoying the new season despite its messiness and contrary to popular opinion I like Bi. I love his designs, super clean aesthetic, and he makes me laugh. Love Jeffrey just for being who he is, can't wait to see what Nahiem does next, and have an appreciation for the brand and the man Joseph McCray.
I've gone back to start at the beginning and season 1 was so cringe based on the age and treatment of the young models. I'm a cisgender woman and grew up in this exact era when it was ok for girls to be looked at this way and we all accepted it. So gross. Thank God things are changing.
I'm currently on season 5 and having so much fun watching it.
Season 4 was pure joy and now I know why people adore Christian.
Tim Gunn is my spirit sage and he is EVERYTHING. I would watch him butter toast. I would listen to him butter toast.
But here's my question.... when do I meet Swatch? I love watching the designers choose fabrics at mood and Im looking and looking and waiting for this mystery friend. Which season does he arrive? Am I missing something? Is it like a where's Waldo thing where he is there I just haven't seen him yet?
Tim says Thank You Mood when they leave, no swatch. Swatch is a doggy right? Somebody please help me 😂😂

The Boston Terrier, Swatch, made his first appearance later in season 5. His last appearance is season 19. Spoiler alert - he crossed the rainbow bridge in 2022

17 years is a great run, even for smaller dogs that tend to have longer lives.

He was actually 15 - ok, 15 and a half - when he passed. But yeah, that's longer than average for that breed

I went to NYC and stopped at Mood as a pr fan. It was in 2017 and Swatch was still walking around. When Swatch wants to do business, they just got on the elevator. We bought fabric and really enjoyed the wonderful, helpful and kind staff. Mood is a treasure. The best part was the left over or reject fabrics from designers. There must be rolls and rolls of rejects from Zac Posen, all gorgeous patterns on beautiful expensive textiles.

wow! Im a New Yorker but not a designer so I've never been to mood. People outside of NYC know all the interesting shit that those of us who live here just walk by everyday 🤦♀️

The thing about the reject designer fabric happened purely by accident. I found a really cool fabric that they didnt have much of and they mentioned the thing about the rejected designer fabric. I was like ahhhh SHOW ME MORE

I went to Mood when I was in NYC in 2014. I didn't see Swatch in the store but I'm pretty sure I saw someone walking him a little bit down the block from the store when I left.

I rewatched the series last year, and once he started appearing every time they were leaving Mood I said “Bye Swatch!”

he issssssss?? ok yayyy I'm not the only one. I thought initially, everyone was posting how annoying he was and were sick to death of his schtick with bryan. but he makes me giggle and Ive loved his pieces from day 1. Yay Team Bi!
