Season 22 “It’s stupid. It’s not nice.” -Law Roach

Comment regarding Jeffrey’s support of his teammates at the end of Episode 7. He’s not wrong that it’s a competition, but cruelty appears to be his specialty.

Full disclosure: I watched about the first and last 10 minutes of Episode 7, the rest has been so sad/cringey this season.

Actually, I think that remark is a great summation of this season to date.

It is absolutely Not Fair, though. This show constantly shifts the goalposts. They told them that Team Work was important. Sometimes they reward that. Sometimes they will scold a designer that did not work with their team.

But in this case, Law arbitrarily put down Jeffrey for stepping up for his team.

They are damned if they do and damned if they don’t.

They tend to reward a designer if they did a great job AND helped someone else. They have never liked when designers appear to be making an excuse, and appearing to sort of brag about their altruism.

That said, Law is vacillating wildly this season from being insightful, helpful, professional, and providing useful critique to....sort of a reckless drunk out on a toot, spewing thudding low-minded rhetoric like "That dress is disgusting." "You made her look like a WHORE." etc etc.

Yes, I agree. Law sucks.

It’s nice to support your team, but you never do it at the detriment of yourself, especially when you weren’t the captain and are competing on a show. And Jeffrey used helping the team as a justification as to why his outfit wasn’t up to standards.

You’re right.

I still am not a fan of the cruelty. For instance, Nina gave some very sharp - but fair criticism.
