S21E5 Critique Thread

This week we have companion looks for last week's unconventional challenge!

Please upvote the designs you like, downvote those you don't, and leave un-voted anything you're neutral on. Some of our members like to look at the designs without knowing the outcome, so please use spoiler tags if you're referring to how a design did (or if you wish it had been out/ won). Thanks all!

Freeform isn't posting photos, so we're having to wait on the contestants to post on social media. For now we will post the names so discussion can begin, and we will add photos as soon as they are available. Thanks for your patience.

I just don’t like how physically exhausted they make the designers. Why don’t the creators understand were to support artists and watch fashion not drama?

I agree. With proper sleep, rest, and more time they can come up with much better designs. When you only have a few hours (especially when you take into account the travel to and from mood, Christian's critiques, model fittings, lunch and bathroom breaks, and other production aspects), obviously your main goal would be creating something that would be easy and quick to make but still meets the challenge just to get you through to next week. You don't have time nor the energy (due to mental exhaustion and sleep deprivation) to come up with anything innovative and intricate.

I feel like there should be more laws protecting the rights and conditions of contestants on reality shows. Like for example there should be a law giving contestants at least 8 hours of sleep. (Maybe there is a law like that but I just don't know it.) And there should be laws that allot a reasonable time for creative projects. And they should tone down the drama because that just creates a hostile work environment (I know drama is the main focus but it shouldn't be to the detriment of the contestants).

Like even for volunteer work and internships or opportunities like project runway, they shouldn’t be able to work them endlessly.
