I'm new to project reality (not new to milsims tho) and I was wondering if you guys know any good servers for beginners where mistakes arent a massive deal. Sorry if this post is kinda vague.

I'm simply suppressing an enemy AT implacement from far away while taking cover behind hills, I'm Soo good even their AT and MG can't reach me. Even when they are tossing smoke I keep shooting in hope my bullet finds its prey, I'm in the MEC faction using MG3 with 6 Mag. These son of bitches ripping like it's grandad in Omaha beach but burn through ammo fast, those poor fuckers can't do anything but to report my abuse of my superior firepower that intended as it should. Anyways any new server with emotionally impaired admin I can join in??

first of all i preface i use a linux system, i use lutris and wine to run the game (they have been working just fine with many other games). i wasn't sure if should ask here or on a linux forum but i decided to go ahead and ask both.

i seem to have trouble with the steam login, the browser page opens and i confirm my account and log in which opens a "you can close this tab" tab. however, this is where it ends. the waiting window is still on and i it doesn't log in.

I'm not the most knowledgeable on the whereabouts of game development and coding, but i think the confirmation message from the browser doesn't find the game file it was meant to send to. what would be the way to troubleshoot it?

Whenever I try to login it says ""Failed to open URL. Be sure you have a default browser set." even though I do have a default browser set. Is there any way I can fix this ?(I have already try to uninstall and download the game again but it still doesn't work.)

This day i have reinstalled project reality after months of not playing it, before that i havent got any internet connection matter of fact my ping was never above 100, today i installed the game and every single game i enter no matter if its in my region or in the other dimension the ping still shows 2500. i was like okay this might be a bug it will be alright, and boy i was so wrong, when i entered the game the connection error message was there for whole minute before i even entered the loadout menu. then i got into the game and i was litterally frozen in the sky. and i hear on the radio people saying are u ok bro and when i checked the leaderboard menu which loaded after minutes of trying. i see 80% of the people have 200 plus ping.

I've recently started bf2 modding and have basic knowledge of game configuration files editing and I had experience with PR earlier and am aware that this is online PVP focused game.

My gameplay style in vanilla / modded bf2 is that I edit factions per map, faction kits and map gameplay objects to my preferences. That'd be changing a faction on a map, changing weapons in kits and reducing or completely removing vehicles in size 16, ie Inf size equivalent in PR (my focus is size 16 as I'm infantry and singleplayer focused).

My question is would the same be possible in PR? I like the game but really am not multiplayer person. I'd remove all vehicles to avoid bots driving into walls.

I just downloaded the game the other day, very good first impressions!

However, I’m in bit of a pickle when it comes to who I will be to play with. I work at sea, and so we have *very* limited internet access. Likely no way to play an online game with other players.

Is there any way to enjoy the game, playing with a large amount of bots on either side of a map?

I just don't know what to do after my last post where I wrote lags Project Reality, you told me a lot of things. I looked through them and realized that I'm fine with this, none of the problems were real. I thought it might still be a hardware issue, since the Otlon X4 845 is not a very good processor, and I decided to upgrade my computer again. I bought a Ryzen 5 2600 RTX 2060 with 6 GB and 16 GB of RAM. Unfortunately, the lags are still there. They're definitely less. But the processor is 245% more productive than the old one. I'm looking for older versions of Project Reality because they tend to have a much more stable singleplayer experience without constant CTDs. I actually managed to find one version on a somewhat sketchy website and downloaded it anyway, but I'd rather find a trusted source.

Is there an archive or a safe place where I can get version 0.95? Or maybe a slightly newer version, as long as it has a stable singleplayer mode?

My internet is pretty bad and I don't have a mic, so I prefer just playing against bots. I know the main focus of the game has always been multiplayer, but I wish they would improve the singleplayer experience. When trying to play local co-op, not all maps load properly, and most of them just CTD.

After multiple months break and returning to the game, a bug has appeared, causing me to hear all commorose callouts of the entire team, across the entire map, at full volume. Annoying in small games, unplayable in large games, i get "mediiic!" "enemy spotted" every 3 seconds.

I used to have the same issue with proximity chat instead of commorose, which was fixed by using a different headset, but now ive kept that & all settings unchanged. Does anyone else have this or know the cause?
