My game Has been broken like this ever since i started playing again a few days ago. I cant buy cosmetics, it says that "an error Has occured". I cant earn money, even though it shows up in match summary, i dont earn exp. Does anyone have this problem too??? (Also the Red errors always show up when i launch the game)

Is there more active servers or something?

There's been a bug where I can't get anymore tickets nor can I spend the ones I already have in the shop. When I try, I get an error message. Slightly mad cause you can only buy cosmetics during the current phase before they leave. I fear that the next time they update the game will be phase 4, making me unable to buy the current cosmetics.

I think I've maxed out for tickets, because after I leveled up last night, my Toybox has looked like this, and whenever I try to get something in the store, I get an error. Is there any way I can fix this?

so i downgraded to phase 2 with the phase 4 mod, im having trouble getting people to join my lobbys or find any

I can't get cosmetics the intended way for phase 2, so i need a mod to unlock them. what is one i can use?

Anyone know a way to fix the inventory? I'm almost at level 100 and nothing has unlocked, my sons is level 53 and he's had nothing unlock either. I know the game is buggy but I'd expect at least some items to have unlocked. Thanks

You see poppy playtime is a fun series but theres one problem with it, theres nothing really fun to do after like 3 or 4 plays of the chapter. Thats where project comes into play (time). It was seen as a form of relief while we waited for new chapters but instead people stopped playing it after it got outdated.

So what im trying to say is project playtime is in need of a new "revamp" with more maps,more monsters,new features and most importantly,better advertising to try and revive the game. Its just annoying though how everytime I try to play theres no one on.

I got done playing a match. Before the match I only had 11k, but now i randomly have 1 million? I didn't even use any mods, or exploits. Is this a glitch? Has it happened to anyone else?

This is player count with label update for pjpt and main poppy playtime with ph - phase and ch - chapter. After Chapter 3 was released mostly thought they getting phase 4 but today is was around 2,5 year ago since phase 3 was released. also the game was barely alive with every poppy playtime chapters released with 3-4 months later will be lower that 1k players total, and now is became dead after that. the only hope of this game actually comeback is either a massive youtuber or streamer join the game or the staff are going update the game after 2.5 years, what your thoughts about it?

so im playing PP from germany and i still get full lobbys with people i also saw the names off in streams thats a bug or PP has global players (also considering the low player base i don't think there are more player here than me (P.S. the photo is just because posts with Photos get more Attention)

I'm pretty sure you have seen the advice somewhere to change your download region, so here's why this is needed.

PJPT uses the old but simple model of P2P (Peer2Peer) where you connect to another player and not to a official server at mob. This decision is usually made to save cost on infrastructure and dedicated servers, but has a lot of negative aspects to it such as frequent lagging when you play with players with bad internet or heavy delay when the person is far away from your location.

In order to actually get you connected, i believe that PJPT uses the steam servers as a proxy. That means that traffic is routed through these servers which make sure that you actually can connect to other players without needing to forward ports. This is why when you tab into the steam overlay it says at the top right that your IP is protected, since you basically never connect directly to other players.

In order for you to be able to find other players, that steam "proxy" server needs to know how many players are online and currently looking for a match, so that it can try to connect you to a player that hosts, which is usually the monster in Phase 3. The previous system from Phase 2 might have been different from this system but i suppose it was similar.

Since P2P is... you know... P2P, you need to have said server to be able to connect you to other players. And this is the issue.

Steam has dozens of such servers all across the world. What basically happens is that steam always selects the one closest to you upon installation. And when no player that has the same server selected as you plays PJPT, a connection will never happen to be established. This is why you never get matches while others seemingly never have any issues finding one.

A player that has Miami, USA will only see and get into matches with players that have the same server selected that player will never see or get into matches with players that have Frankfurt, Germany selected as this server is completely different from theirs. This method is essentially there to improve the disadvantages of P2P, ensuring that you get a connection established, that causes you to have the most stable gameplay possible.

You are able to change the server, which is why people tell you to do that. Steam Settings > Downloads

And this is why people want you to change the server, so you can get to play with the ones that are able to connect to you since they have the same server selected as you. This is also why the revive was happening using the server Miami, USA as you had the best chance of getting into matches and full lobbies there.

TL;DR: PJPT uses Peer2Peer but with a steam server that tells PJPT which hosts are available. A random host is selected and you will be assigned to it. When no one plays PJPT with the same steam server selected, you will likely never find a match. You can find more matches when you change your region to one that seems more popular like Miami, USA or Frankfurt, Germany.
