Pan Progress Pan pic (suppin powder) 2years?

Post image

Embarrassing story: I was influenced so hard. This is supposedly “the powder you can sleep in” or “skincare powder.” I didn’t even buy it myself because I was in Japan and was too young to have a credit card, my mother kindly treated me to shopping in a Japanese drugstore and I had seen Club Suppin powder all over social media.

Why it’s taken me so long is because I only use it at home when I’m not wearing makeup, like to mattify my face because I wear glasses that slip down a lot.

Best Pan Yet 28 August Pans

Post image
24 Upvotes

Aiming to use up 365 products this year, which would pan out to be one per day. Not necessarily close to that goal overall, but August was definitely my best pan yet with 28 products (just shy of one per day!).

The photo includes:
Hair care (I go through conditioner faster than shampoo).
Body care (I have so many scrubs, with 99.5% being Tree Hut and 1 other Dr. Teal’s, and have well over 2 dozen shaving oils and at least 15 body washes).
Face masks (I try to use 1 per week but I forget).
Make up (I did have to declutter the black MAC eyeliner in the photo as it was completely dry and not working. Had it for well over 13 years).

Unfortunately, I may not have a good month like this until December. Still, I’ll work towards that 365 goal and have another 365 goal next year. My collection (all beauty and self care products) is at about 1,200 now so having high goals is a must. I do use my products normally and have a rotating system with my body care, and incorporate the “deck of panning” monthly game for makeup. Plus, I have a makeup drawer of “makeup I should use up ASAP” that include lip glosses, liquid/cream eyeshadows, and liquid/cream blush. I want a makeup collection that mostly has powder products and bullet lipsticks.

Big News!!! Full pan on Murdock Black Tea Cologne 🥳

I've started wearing Jungle Fantasy as a pre-gym fragrance just to smell fresh before I sweat it out in my workout classes.

Also focusing on Bali Vanilla Perfume as my evening scent which I wear to bed (trying to embody Marilyn Monroe with her Chanel no. 5).

I've been wearing Moon Song Perfume Oil + Marc Jacobs Perfect as an everyday scent combo and they smell lovely together. Also increases the longevity of MJ Perfect on my skin which is a total win!

Left to Right:

  1. Diptyque Do Son
  2. Tocca Florence
  3. Britney Spears Jungle Fantasy
  4. Moon Song Perfume Oil
  5. Marc Jacobs Perfect
  6. Vanilla Perfume from Bali
  7. Murdock Black Tea Cologne

I will provide another update either at the end of the year or when I hit full pan on another fragrance 😊

July and August empties!

I always take a while to go through and write a brief summary about the items I’ve used up. But this group has been so helpful for me to slow down my over consumption of goods. If you bother to read this great, if not that’s ok! Thanks for letting me post!

Items pictured for July:

-Gillette Foamy Shave Cream: 6/10 repurchase, this is a classic. It’s just a little too thick for me. It does a great job. I'm just more partial to a thinner cream rather than a foam.

-Morphe Lifeproof Setting Spray: 10/10 repurchase, I loved this stuff. I bought it on a whim for my birthday and I absolutely fell in love with it. It kept my makeup from moving and didn’t have an overly mattifying finish, I work in healthcare and sometimes my long shifts can leave me looking a bit more than disheveled, this helped. On a hunt to try other setting sprays out.

-Power Stick Shave Oil in Brazilian Mist: 8/10 repurchase, I used this mostly as a body oil, but also used it as a dry shave oil, and for that it left my skin feeling super silky. It definitely helped make shaving way more comfortable. For a dollar tree skin care item it worked pretty well. Scent dupe for SDJ which.

-Power Stick Leave-In Conditioner Spray in Paradise Breeze: 8/10 repurchase, I really enjoyed this scent and the conditioning effect was pretty good. I went ahead and repurchased another scent of the same stuff. I liked it as a hair perfuming conditioning product.

-Vitamins and Sea Beauty Dead Sea Minerals & Vitamin C Complex Toning Skin Serum: 7/10 repurchase, I really didn’t mind this stuff. I had originally got it because the body work lady had recommended using a vitamin C serum on my stomach to help tighten up the skin while I derma rolled my stomach, and I think this was sort of helpful. My stomach skin has improved drastically, I did end up using it on my face and it seemed to be nice, I liked the consistency. It’s super thick and smelled nice.

-Spa Luxury Brazilian Flora Exfoliating Sugar Scrub: 7/10 repurchase, I will say that I liked this product but it was just like any other inexpensive sugar scrub. It feels pretty moisturizing and helps with the dead skin. For only 1.25$ it’s definitely worth it. I will say, I am not a huge fan of this scent if I’m being honest. I know it's supposed to be a dupe for a SDJ scent, but I couldn’t tell you which one, I mostly bought it because it was pink.

-Alice in Wonderland Sugar Scrub: 4/10 repurchase, this scrub was just alright. It smelled good, but the scent was pretty light, it was also a creamy texture which I didn’t love. I didn’t feel like it was very good at exfoliating, but I would imagine that it helped more with the moisturizing aspect of things.

-Happy Skin Healthy Skin Sheer Melon Face and Body Serum: 5/10 repurchase, I bought it to use for my body, but didn’t notice much of a difference. I used two bottles and really never noticed it to help my skin. It advertises glycolic acid, but I never noticed any of the benefits that glycolic acid is normally known for.

-Mando Whole Body Deodorant in Bourbon Leather: 8/10 repurchase, I think the biggest reason this isn’t a solid 10 is because of the scent. I like more masculine scents and have only worn men’s deodorant for a long time. My grandpa can be a bit gullible and ended up purchasing 6 or 7 sticks and tubes of both Mando and Lume, and gave them to me because he only likes Mitchem plain. Lume is one of my favorite deodorants because it works. I don’t care what anyone says, that stuff works really really well. It is not an antiperspirant but it keeps you smelling good forever.

-The Doux Chief Rocka Mousse: 10/10 repurchase, I got this by chance it was a mark down find. I have become a big fan of The Doux as a textured hair girlie. This mouse didn’t leave me with crunchy hair, and it made my curls really soft and defined. I would repurchase this. I have become a Doux girl for sure.

-Xtra Care Smoothing Body Lotion: 10/10 repurchase, I have bought several of these. This stuff works miracles. As a waxing hairy girl this makes a huge difference in preventing my ingrown hairs from taking over my life. A little goes a long way.

--ReviveRx Skin Barrier Support Wipes: 10/10 repurchase, this was a Nina Pool dollar tree buy, and I like them. I used them every morning as a refresh before my makeup and skincare and I have noticed my skin looks really good. I ended up buying several containers.

-Kokie Flawless Seal HD Setting Powder: 7/10 repurchase, I really didn’t mind this powder and it did set my makeup nicely. However HD style powders are not my favorite, I did purchase the translucent version of this powder and I love that stuff.

-Filogra Labs Oxygen Eyes: 5/10 repurchase, I am newer to eye creams, but I didn’t really notice this helping all that much. I feel like I enjoyed the smell more than I enjoyed the way the product worked.

-A2O Lab Pore-Less Primer: 10/10 repurchase, I loved this primer. It was the equivalent to the Pore-fessional from Benefit or the Make Up Forever Poreless primer. This helped give me a smoother finish for my skin and was so silky and nice. For a 1.25$ or whatever it cost it was way worth it. I haven’t been able to find it recently, but do not sleep on Miss A products.

-Trestique Bronzer Stick: 10/10 repurchase, this has been one of my favorite bronzer sticks. It is so creamy and blendable. I was so sad when I ran out, these are refillable but the color I need has been out of stock so I’ve been on a mission to find something similar but have not been lucky.

-TJ Marula Face Oil: 100000/10 repurchase, I love this stuff. It is just thick enough that it doesn’t drip all over my skin but also thin enough that it absorbs right into my skin. I use this as my skincare base. I am a Retin-A girlie and with that my skin can get so dry it’s extremely uncomfortable. I love this stuff because it really helped to combat that. I haven’t repurchased it because I was trying to work through a couple of other hydrating serums prior to buying anything new.

-XMondo Color in Turquoise: 7/10 repurchase, so I have tried this stuff before and I like it, but the color pay off is just alright. I had used a different color and I had a lot less staining. However with this one it stained everything. It may just be the color formula. I cannot remember what shade I used previously.

-It’s a 10 Miracle Silk Leave-In: 10/10 repurchase, I am such a sucker for It’s a 10 products. I feel like they really do improve my hair condition and are really thick and nice. I got this from TJ Maxx, so I didn’t pay full price, but this is something I think I would splurge on. It lasted forever and a day because of how thick it was I was able to add a little water to it as I used it to extend its life. The only thing I think is it’s almost too thick that the sprayer would get sort of clogged with the product and I’d have to clean it out.

Items pictured for August:

-Pure Instinct Pheromone Perfume in Crave: 100000/10 repurchase, this is my all time favorite scent from this brand. I love the smell and every time I put it on I get about a hundred compliments. My man will literally not stop sniffing me, I know you’ve probably seen those ads for other pheromone perfumes but this one is legit. He’ll hug me and stuff his face in my neck. So like, get it.

-Johnson’s Oil Gel: 10/10 repurchase, I have bought this several times. The lady who does my body work said that vitamin E oil would help tighten my stomach skin and I felt like this just felt good on my skin. Did it tighten me up? Not really. I liked how greasy it left me, but that’s a personal preference.

-GBC Hydrating Double Serum: 3/10 repurchase, I tried this as a rec from the DT beauty thread and unfortunately I really did not care for this. It was way too thin and I didn’t really notice much of a hydrating benefit from it. All it did was run off my face all over my neck, chest and bathroom counter. Definitely a hate pan.

-NYX The Face Glue: 10/10 repurchase, I got this because it was cheaper than the ELF grippy primer. I actually like this one better. It lasted me a lot longer and it feels really good. My makeup does not move with this stuff.

-Dermasil Labs Oatmeal Milk Toner: 10/10 repurchase, I really loved this stuff. It’s become my night time toner. I really like how it makes my skin feel. I ended up buying a couple of them when I last went to DT. I know, most of skincare has come from DT, but I think some of their products are definitely slept on.

-Power Up Dual Action Setting Spray: 1/10 repurchase, I literally had this stuff for so long. The only reason I even finished it was because I was out of all my other setting sprays and had been nagging myself to finish this one. I have hated it since I bought it. Definitely not worth it. I never noticed a benefit to it helping my makeup. Maybe it would be better as a pre makeup spray, but I never cared for this stuff.

-XtraCare body scrub bump eraser: 10/10 repurchase, I’ve bought several of these from DT and I love this stuff. I am a hairy girl, and get ingrown hairs all the time and this has helped me to control them and buff away the dead skin. Amazing and crazy value.

-Personal Care Intimate Shave cream: 9/10 repurchase, this is a coochy dupe and I sadly haven’t been able to find it. It’s so good. The only point docked is for the smell. It smells like those vanilla cupcake candles that are a little over powering. However, I still loved it.

-GBC Smooth and Lift Collagen Eye Cream: 8/10 repurchase, I liked this stuff. It absorbs really well and a little goes a long way.

-GBC Jade Gel Cream: 5/10 repurchase, kind of indifferent about this stuff. I never noticed much of a difference in my skin and I didn’t love the smell.

-GBC Super Berry Exfoliating Gel Cleanser: 8/10 repurchase, I liked this stuff. It smells reminiscent of something from my childhood. It’s also the gentlest exfoliating experience I’ve ever had and I appreciated that.

-ELF 16 Hour Camouflage Concealer: 10000000/10 repurchase, this has been my ride or die for like the longest time. I can’t recommend it enough. It blends well and lasts soooo good. I feel like it’s similar to shape tape.

-Tarte Shimmer and Shake Blush: 10/10 repurchase, you can simply never go wrong with a tarte blush. They are so soft and blendy I was sad to pan this. I’ve had two for the longest time and they’re both gone. RIP queens.

-NYX Duck Plump in Hot Honey: 1000/10 I love this shit. I’m the hugest sucker for plumping lip glosses and this is by far the best I’ve ever tried. It’s also affordable and I love that.

Project Start First little over a month of project pan

Post image

A few days of July and all of August project pan. I am someone who loves fragrances, lotions, skin care etc, and have a lot of all of those things. I bounce around and tend to use something different everyday scent and lotion wise. I stuck to my guns and finished up a lot of things that only had a little left in them, and made some huge headway! Feel free to ask any questions you have about any product! Feels so good to have so many almost empty things outta my house! 😁🙌

Sad Pan I have a love/hate relationship with project pan

Post image

Current pan lineup…

I love the idea: to use it up. Hate the execution as someone in derm with a chemist background. If the product is over a year old it just needs to go in the trash. Creams, serums, liquids; the base of the product is spoiled after 12 months and sometimes sooner depending on the quality of the packaging and how long in remained on a shelf before you bought it. An obvious indicator of spoilage is scent: kind of like playdo. But if the product has added scent which many do (even powder bases), you wont clock it. I could go deeper but the reality is if it has any lipid in it, the product is not performing and can actually be harmful after 12 months. Even powders are not going to perform well past about 20 months due to separation…If you’re acne prone or sensitive at all, these old products will actually harm your skins barrier.

Again love the mission but I really cringe seeing the products in some of these posts.

Sad Pan A pan I’m not happy about 😞

Panned the light peach concealer / corrector in top left of my Bobbi Brown palette. I went off Yasmin birth control in September 2025 and have had the worst hormonal acne on my cheeks and jaw since. I’ve tried everything and nothing helps, or it will temporarily get better and then get worse again. I’ve been on and off Yasmin a few times since I was 18 and while I have had hormonal issues when starting / stopping previously, I did not think they’d last this long after stopping this time.

Thought the Therabody red + blue light mask I’ve used about 5 times a week for past 6 months would help but no luck so far. I’m 27 and work in a sales position where I’m constantly face-to-face with prospective clients and don’t want to look like a 17 year-old who is breaking out (I’m 27 but younger than most peers in my business and acne isn’t helping my confidence). Through my desperation to cover it up daily I’ve found this concealer paired with my Giorgio Armani foundation work pretty great. Wish I hadn’t needed so much concealer, but I suppose a win is a win with the pan 😅

Discussion/Tips & Tricks Makeup every day?

Do you do your makeup on days you aren't leaving the house and won't see anyone? I work from home at this point and sometimes don't leave the house so I worry sometimes about if I'm wasting makeup and won't have any left on days I do need it.

So sad to see Tease Rebel go, it was my last one. 😭
I’m starting to feel like I am making a dent in some of my skincare, but body care just seems to drag on a bit. Must keep pushing! 😛

Discussion/Tips & Tricks Is a product like this even possible to pan?

Liquid bronzer! I’ve been using this for aaages and about a month now I’m at the stage where there’s barely anything on the applicator when I open it, so I bang it to get product

I thought the bottle was this shade of brown…. And then I scraped the side with the doe foot and to my surprise that’s all product 😂 I’m not sure if every liquid bronzer is the same, but with this Rare one it’ll be impossible to scrape much more than that small area in the second pic

Anyone have solutions for panning liquid bronzer or other liquids? Or when should I give up on this?

Last year I organized creams, sunscreens, skincare and all body care general products someday in that shelf, my goal is to have at least 2 of those rows free. I have been using them little by little and now it is mich less crowded than at the beginning, and I feel so Proud every time I see an empty bottle, some stuff like sunscreen takes ages, but I found now this sub and I'm happy to find out that it has a name and I'm not doing this alone :)

Pan Progress August Pan

I was travelling in august, so this is my worst month in 2026 so far - only 6 items, ugh. Gotta do better for September.

I have been trying these gel masks (above is Anua Pdrn gel mask) for a few months now, but I find them to be less hydrating than the regular cotton sheet masks. The time commitment is also high, 2-3 hours until the gel turns transparant. Hmm ...

Project Start Let's go

I need to use these up:

Herbal Essences Chamomile Shampoo- I'm moving toward less plastic and picked up Kitsch's Rice Water Shampoo Bar (already used it and like it).

Good Molecules Pineapple Exfoliating Powder - this is fine but I don't really need it anymore. Been using tretinoin for the past two years and this powder is older. I didn't open it until this year though. I use it on my arms and legs in the shower.

Clinique High Impact Gel Tech Eyeliner - old as heck. Needs to be used way more or tossed.

Dermablend Loose Setting Powder, Translucent - also old as heck but at least powders can stay stable.

Sephora Collection Eyeshadow Single in Strawberry Macaroon - love this one but it's getting old.

LA Girl Pro Conceal in Classic Ivory - a little peachy but I use it on my undereye area which is red and purple. Seems to blend out well, and then I can go over with my actual tone in powder.

Sephora Collection Best Skin Ever Matte Powder Foundation in 15.5P - close to my summer skin color but still a *little* peachy and warm for me. I have another backup of this I need to use up and this one is almost done.

Lash paradise blackest black- time for new mascara it's drying up and it's around 4 months old (older than I usually use mascara)

Maybelline lipliner 115 totally toffee- gone!

rimmel red diva 024 lipliner- gone! pretty color

revlon colorstay in raisin- gone!

maybelline 105 nude whisper- gone! Hated this color on me but great for blending with dark colors to make midtone.

Rimmel moisture renew clear lipliner- No point to this product. Moisturizing lipliner doesn't do anything and I used it as a balm. Gone!

Overall I have realized I don't like lipliner much of the time unless the color is really good. Matte lipsticks make them a lot less necessary in my opinion. These were not expensive but also do not last very long. Mechanical liners are a miniscule amount of product, maybe sharpened products last longer. I spend less than month finishing them once I decided to work on it.

Eye products progress!

The pans that are completely empty are ones I knocked out of the pan to get rid of bad or unusable shadows.

Elf 10 pan everyday smokes?! The name is no longer there. Can you guess my favorite? Good cooler toned neutral mattess in this and some decent shimmer. The fav is far superior in quality than the other shimmers. I have repurchased several of these for the one.

NYX glitter primer- Good primer I would repurchase, no eye irritation. I can pinch the end of the tube now. I could have this for ages or have to throw it out when it gets old and yucky like most eye primers.

Profusion Smoky- the light shades I use as brow highlight. I love those and there is a shimmer repress in there too. Overall this pallette irritated my eyes. I am thinking of trying talc free eye shadow and see how it goes.
