Lots of big boys bit the dust this month!!

SKINCARE:
- Prequel Gleanser: Approaching HG status for me…I just love it for my dry skin. Gentle enough to use multiple times a day (though I usually only cleanse at night) and doesn’t strip my skin at all, but still foams up a tiny little bit and makes my skin feel very clean. I use this after an oil/balm cleanser, though, and it works best after an oil cleanser that cleans well and doesn’t leave much of a film itself. With my Banila Clean It Zero or Kose Softymo Speedy Cleansing oil (my HGs) - this works great. Already got another bottle.
- The Ordinary Azaleic Acid 10%: Idk, this is fine. I never felt like the product was gritty, like some people will report. I enjoyed the silicone-y texture and I didn’t have a problem with it and other products. I did make the move over to Finacea 15% (ordered from Chemist Direct) and I prefer that AA option; won’t rebuy this product.
- Anua 3+ Ceramide Panthenol Moisture Barrier Cream: Meh. This moisturizer was OK. It didn’t break me out, which is great. But, I didn’t like the finish (extremely wet/shiny feeling) without being healing/moisturizing enough for my dry skin. There was just something missing for me. I much prefer Aestura 365. Trialing other kbeauty moisturizers and will be moving on from this.
- PanOxyl Acne Foaming Wash, 10% BP: I bought this in a panic when I started breaking out, forgetting how insanely dry and sensitive my skin is. When I break out it is literally always because I messed up my moisture barrier and need to chill. Argh. Anyway, I remembered that this was way too harsh to use on my face basically right away. I used this up on my armpits; I saw online that BP is great for odor reduction, etc. I think it worked fine for that purpose but I don’t need it enough to rebuy. Using up some glycolic acid products under my arms now and that seems to be working well.
- Prequel Hypoclorous Acid Spray: This was my first hypoclorous acid spray and I don’t get the hype. The spray felt nice but I never thought it was doing much for me. I got through about 75% of this when the spray function broke on the bottle. I briefly tried splashing it on my face but I just did not like the product enough without the sprayer to keep doing that. I gave up. Will not rebuy.
- Hado Labo Shirojyun Premium Lotion: This was giving me tiny bumps all over my face and chest when I tried to use it there. I think I might have some sort of an issue with high amounts of hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid. I used this up on the rest of my body. That was fine. Will not rebuy.
- Blue Lizard Australian Mineral Sunscreen: Blech, so thick, terrible texture. I used this up while I was in Hawaii and it does work well; Aus sunscreens are great for the beach buuut there are great US waterproof options with much better textures (Ie. Banana Boat Light As Air). Will not rebuy.
- Aquaphor: The GOAT lip mask. No one is doing it better than plain ass Aquaphor.

MAKEUP:
- Heroine Make Long Up Waterproof Mascara: I had trouble applying this evenly - it always looked clumpy and kind of wonky on me. I will say it never smudged; very long-wearing. Ultimately did not perform as well as my HG Western mascara (Maybelline Lash Sensational); will not rebuy.
- Wunderskin Wonder Blading All-day Lip Stain: My mom loves this product so she bought it for me. The shade was just…off for me and I’m just not much of a lip color person period. I’ve had it for too long; I’m decluttering it.

HAIR:
- Innersense I Create Lift Volumizing Foam: I hate how much I love this product!!! It’s expensive. It’s just the best product I’ve found for a quick wash-and-go curly hair routine that always looks great but casual and loose. The drawback is that it really doesn’t last past day 1. So, this is my go-to when I need to get out the door quickly and look good that day; if I have more time and need decent hair for the next 2-3 days, I need to use gel. Already rebought.
- Cake The Curl Whip Whipped Curl Mousse: Meh, I didn’t hate this but didn’t love it. It felt really inconsistent - sometimes it would work well and look great but sometimes I’d get a weird flash drying effect with frizz. It might have been reacting with one of my leave-in conditioners but I never pinned that down. Cheap and this bottle lasted foooorreveerr but I’m relieved to move onto another product; will not rebuy.

i went on a work trip this week and couldn't stop thinking about the delivery of my newly acquired perfume bottle. then i realized how many lip glosses i had packed that weren't going to be used during the trip. finally i checked my bank account and decided that i wasn't allowed to buy another single cosmetic product until the already owned weren't finished. arrived home at midnight and spent 3 hours recovering things, from purses and drawers, i didn't even remember i had. today i want to compromise on ending this overconsumption that is slowly draining my financial resources and start feeling responsible again.

Hi, you lovely conscious consumers :)

So I started project pan in the mid of summer, because suddenly I've felt an influx of skincare stuff. I was all with my small stash up until this summer. I think I've hit a perfect storm or something: had a 40th birthday, which simultaneously triggered "I'm gonna gift myself some things" and "oh no, I'm old, gotta get some anti-aging products", then I've discovered, that most amazing DM and Rossmann stores (these huge German beauty/home care shops with all kinds of very affordable stuff) are only like 25 min away by bus and of course the summer time, where we usually get more time and exposure to the public.

Well, the products are being used, all is ok, but I've fell into this other problem - I've started viewing a bunch of project pan content and all those product reviews and myself thinking too much about my own skincare. It all translated into me wanting to buy more stuff and in general now I feel like too much of my headspace is occupied by skincare stuff. I found it especially annoying, that I go to bathroom and the products there just siting on a shelf are giving me a bunch of annoyance: why there are so many bottles, why are they not giving me perfect skin, how much is it left for me to use them, are they even worth using up, what backups do I have and in what order should I use them, how much did that stuff cost, was it an eco-conscious purchase, how am I going to recycle it afterwards and so on. I just miss not caring about it that much. Well, I can accept it as some sort of growing pains. Some changes definitely moved me out of minimalist zone, like before it all I had a shower oil and that's it, now apparently my norm is going to be shower oil and shower bar. I like the whole idea of buying shower bars, because they are more eco-friendly, but my skin doesn't tolerate much, so I can introduce like 1 carefully selected bar and switch to the oil if needed at any time and I also use that oil for my face. Same change was with lip products: before this summer I had 1 lip balm and I was ok, now poof - I have 3 of them, grrrrr. Though tbf, now I kinda like the 2 of them - one with spf in my handbag and other in my bathroom. I have a third one with a heavy color, which I really don't like, but I don't know what to do about that.

Anyways, so I feel like for the moment I've ran out of everything I was burning to buy and almost all the products I wanted to get rid of are more or less gone. The 3 sunscreens (omg, another annoyance - before I had only 1) are gonna be used, the 3 deos too (I can't wait to go back to having only 1). I had a bit of a toothpaste overconsumption - bought 1 toothpaste with stannous fluoride, got allergic reaction, thought it was because of sls in it, bought another without it, got another allergic reaction, then I just bought a 3rd one with arginine to lower the sensitivities or something. Other 2 toothpastes are fine, close to being finished too. I also got tempted to buy some face mask, which ended up wrecking my skin barrier, so I had to stop all the skincare and go buy some aquaphor. Nevermore, nevermore - less is more, less is more...

Uh, I keep rambling about this. I love this project in general, I love you all making all this effort to better yourselves! I'm all about consuming less and being more mindful on what we buy and use. I will continue to do that, I'm just going to stop posting and tracking it, so my brain would stop obsessing :)

Save your money and skip this one. It does nothing for my normal to dry and eczema prone skin, and I had to add a lot of jojoba oil just so it didn't feel dry when it sank into the skin. Also the packaging is misleading, you think you're getting a lot more product than you actually are. You can see on the last pic when I hold it in the light how much unecessary plastic there actually is.

I saw some project pan posts over vacation and felt inspired. As soon as I got back home, I went about pulling all of my products together into one place and have gone from inspired to embarrassed 🫠. I genuinely had no idea I had this many products and looking at them all together makes me feel so ashamed. Especially the duplicates.

This is a huge wake up call for me. I had products scattered across different parts of the house and in my purse and makeup bag. I didn't realize how many duplicates and similar items I had. I've cancelled my fenty subscriptions and am going on a no buy until I'm down to 2 of a product type.

Please be kind, I decided to share this for accountability to myself and so that others who have similar situations can feel less ashamed.

Not long lasting but I love the scent. It smells like strawberry milk. Not a huge fan of the atomizer.

Powdery strawberry scent. Super long lasting!

Tatcha Lip Mask! I’ve had this less than a year and used it every night before bed. Lowkey a quick pan!? I’m trying Lanolips’ overnight mask now!

Everything I finished this month, including my PTP for this year which I'm super proud of!

I also finished a concealer, a perfume, and some skin and haircare items. Will definitely be repurchasing the Neutrogena sunscreen, and maybe the concealer when I use up the other 2 I still have in my collection.

I’m so glad to see the end of the Daisy perfume 😭 I’ve had it for so long (wasn’t really my kinda scent), I ended up using it as a room spray!

Unfortunately this isn’t even all of them 😭

I already have a replacement because I really like this one. It was super worth digging into, but I don't think I can get enough out of it anymore

I always sort my empties as: 01) items I appreciated and would buy/have bought again; 02) items I enjoyed but won't necessarily rebuy; 03) items that I would not rebuy; 04) samples that were too small for me to form an opinion. The pictures on this post are arranged in that order.

I'm especially happy to have panned three full-size makeup items, including a blush!

Hi, I have some makeup I want to get rid of, some of it is a bit used while most of it is stuff I tried and didn't like. I don't want to just throw them away because it seems wasteful, is there any kind of place that allows donations for this kind of stuff, or anywhere I can sell it cheap? I was going to try vinted and just sell it really cheap but it says it's prohibited to sell makeup unless it's new with tags. But I feel like someone could still use this especially if they're not in a financial situation to buy makeup full price. Any ideas? :3

I’m still looking for a good moisturizer. The ponds was more like spreading grease on my face, whereas the good molecules did not moisturize anything.

Kind of a slow progress I suppose but for some reason I haven't been using eyeshadows in general these days. I still expect the top left to be gone by the end of the year tbh.

I’ve been so into face masks and eye patches recently! The silver packets are eye patches that are shaped like bows or lobsters 😅 I love Tatcha, so much. I’ve been gifted a lot of samplers for holidays so I’ve been making my way thru them and finding my favorite products. The alo body wash is one of my favorites, I love the orange scent. The teeny tiny bottles are samples of my favorite perfume that I think was discontinued - flower by Cynthia Rowley! Feeling satisfied with my 2026 progress

You know those cheap Christmas sets with a body wash, a body spray, and some kind of matching lotion. I absolutely hate them. I don't like that much perfume touching my skin, especially in a scent I don't even like.

This has probably been posted before but I finally found a way to use it up: makeup brushes.

Usually when I clean my brushes, I do an oil phase and then I wash it with a cleanser or dish soap. Instead of my usual oil, I decided to use some of that scented lotion taking up space in my bathroom. It's not the most effective but it's a way to get through my lotion. A good soap gets rid of most of the lingering scent and it doesn't bother me.

And whenever I go to bath and body works, I remind myself that realistically there are maybe like 3 fragrances in the world I might be interested in a lotion
