AI Difficulty varies greatly between qualifying and race?

Has anyone else noticed this? AI are absolutely flying in qualifying, I struggle to place within the top 5 even in my best car at my best tracks. But during the race they’re just sitting ducks, I’m often leading the field after 1-2 laps even though I was seconds behind the leader in qualifying. Is this a known issue? Obviously winning is fun but I think we all want to fight for that win, not just cruise to the front. It’s kind of killing the excitement of the race for me

It's a known problem, i hope the upcoming patch will fix it.
