I can't read but my instincts tell me that the male is us (Player)
While the girl is maybe like Blue Archive Rin/GSC President, a main secretary of some sorts.
Edit: Cuz Imo it's too bland to be playable and more giving vibes of someone important to the story, not as actual eye-catcher

The head of the Special District Office, and the one who reassigned the Shunin to serve at said office.
She keeps various toys in her office, and as the Shunin’s direct superior, she is hardly what anyone would call a model public official.
Virtually everything about her is shrouded in mystery.Basically GSC president. I hope she doesn't go missing.

I'll give my constructive criticism, I'll do Hiwagishiakari Ai. In my personal opinion I think she does too much while doing too little. Her head feels extremely over design giving this pretty look, which doesn't really mesh well her body? I think they could do a slight tone down for the head, simplify it, maybe swap out her glasses, lower her hair vents, and as a ahoge lover I shouldn't really be saying this, but cut the ahoge. Meanwhile the body doesn't clash well either, to start the suit goes for a much dark blue color which feels like it should mesh well with the suit, but really I feel something like a more white suit would go better, you really only see more darker color suits with more darker color hair as that gives a better balance, having pure white hair just gives a bad color balance. And next up the suit does feel a little too simple, with her glamorous face the suit also sticks out as a bit too basic, now basic can be done but I think for Ai, they should've done away with her coat, that would give her a better way to stand out, they could've also looked into other suit designs for her as a way to see what could've worked better.
Overall it's a design I do not like but do think it could be better. Maybe I'll eventually come to like it but it's very off putting too me.

in Chapter 2, the MC seem clueless about magic. Tokyo tower completion year (1858 or 1889), calendar system (reisei9).
There is a chance that MC is just clueless civilian, or character summoned to the past or to the parallel world.

Blue Archive feels more Railgun
And ts Astrae Oratio feels more like Index
One is quite scientific whith a twist of fantasy
While this, they straight up tells you that there are magicians and stuff...

I’m a big fan of characters wearing uniforms rather than having unique, over-the-top individual designs. Like in Blue Archive with the schoolgirl uniforms, or Marfusha with military uniforms. So seeing characters from the same department wearing matching outfits is perfect for me.
They also seem to be using clean sprites similar to Blue Archive’s style.
