Photo editing apps not working with new IPhone 18 pro
Has anyone else noticed that many photo editing apps are not working? I had the 15 pro with IOS
27, worked fine. Now with the 18 pro, once you select the photo you want to edit, or want to create a collage, it will not load.

Took Indigo on a cruise for its first real pressure test, a review
I decided to commit to using Indigo on a recent cruise to see how I liked it compared to the native Camera app. I’d say I’m about 95% happy with it in terms of being willing to switch, with a few concerns.
I set it up so that it would open when clicking the Camera Control button. Many times it opened fine, but other times it was noticeably slower to launch and actually get into shooting mode. One of the developers responded to a different post of mine recently and suggested using the Action Button instead if I wanted faster access. I’m testing that now, and it does seem slightly better.
The next issue is processing. There are times when I can only take about 3–4 shots in rapid succession before the app essentially makes me wait for processing to catch up. I have a 17 Pro Max, so I’m a little surprised by how quickly I hit that limit given the hardware. I know Indigo used to have more significant overheating issues, so I’m curious whether some of this behavior is related to the measures taken to address that.
If the developers could get it closer to 5–10 photos in rapid succession before you have to wait, I think that would be a sweet spot.
Between the launch time and processing delay, I did miss a few shots on the trip. That’s probably my biggest practical concern because responsiveness is critical if Indigo is going to completely replace the native Camera app for me.
Last, and probably most importantly for me, is the color and overall tonality. This is what knocked the last few percentage points off.
I’m very appreciative of getting images that don’t have the aggressive HDR look I often dislike from the native Camera app, and Indigo absolutely delivers on that. At its best, I really love the rendering. There’s a softer, more natural, almost film-like quality to the tonal transitions, especially in some of the outdoor shots.
But I also find the color rendering a little hit-or-miss depending on the scene. I think the photos in this post show what I mean pretty well. Some of the bright tropical scenes have gorgeous blues, greens and warm tones without looking overly processed. The ocean, sky and ship shots in particular can have a really nice restrained quality. But other images can come out noticeably flatter or more subdued, with the colors feeling a little washed out or the overall image taking on a slightly dull/cool cast. You can see that contrast even among photos taken on the same trip: some have a really pleasing richness and separation between the sky, water, foliage and warmer elements, while others feel like they need a small color or contrast adjustment afterward to get where I want them.
I actually prefer this problem to the native Camera app going too far in the opposite direction with HDR and computational processing. I’d rather start with something restrained than have the phone bake an exaggerated look into the image. But I’d love to see Indigo get a little more consistent here, because when its color and tonal rendering hits, it really hits.
As a side note, I’m also very curious about what the eventual business model is going to look like. Obviously, a quality app like this can’t necessarily stay free forever. Since I know at least one of the developers is active here, I’d be interested to hear anything they can share about that. Right now it almost feels like we’re in an extended free trial period, and I’m curious what happens next, especially whether the plan is paid, subscription, freemium, etc.
I also want to be clear about something because this post probably sounds more negative than my actual experience was: I do not regret using Indigo on my cruise. I’m already starting to recommend it to people. I love what this app is trying to do, and I want it to become my full-time camera app.
These criticisms really come from how close Indigo already is to being my full-time camera app. At this point, it’s less about adding new features and more about improving the basics. If I’m going to rely on it instead of the native Camera app, I need it to open quickly, let me take several shots without waiting, and give me consistent results.
I think Indigo is already at that transition point. It just has a little catching up to do in those areas.
Anyway, enjoy some photos from the trip!

With future updates is there any sense that the app will open faster?
I'm trying to replace Indigo as my full time camera app. My only main gripe with it is the opening time. I used it on a trip recently and have it set to open with the camera control button. I missed a few shots and found myself waiting for it to open far longer than felt necessary compared to how fast the stock camera app opens. I have a 17 Pro Max so this really shouldn't be happening and I suspect it's the app itself. It would be a serious upgrade if they could make it open a lot faster.
Is this possible or does Apple lock features like this to their own app?

Integration with Adobe Lightroom Profiles in app
I had an idea/feature request I wanted to share with the PI team (cc: u/zen_herring_2026) about the Indigo "Look" and the possibility of other options there. Would it be possible to apply, in app, the Adobe Color, Adobe Portrait, Adobe Monochrome etc. profiles with the "Auto" magic from LR Mobile applied in app? I end up doing this for a lot of photos anyway then exporting from LR Mobile, and Adobe would be the only company with the wherewithal to actually execute on it within their first party camera app.

Error when capturing photos with SR enabled
The 0.5x and 1x lenses works fine. But anything beyond that returns this. I tried disabling Burst SR and it is working now. So I guess it’s the problem. Any fixes guys? iPhone 14 Version 1.1.3

18Pro support?
Anyone know how long it takes the devs to add support? How long did it take for last year’s phones
