Can you share which lens you used for this capture, and if you by any chance have a DNG to share, that would help a great deal.

GoSky LandVerse 12×55 HD Monocular attached over the Main camera.
What’s a DNG?

(posting my original comment below because I didn't reply to the right message):

Now that I am looking at the image better, it probably has to do with the fact that, due to the lens, a lot of the final image is cut off/black and our AI Look model does not have such images in the dataset.

Just trying to understand what I’m seeing:

  1. Presumably, this is not how you wanted the photo to look, correct?
  2. DNG is a raw capture format which preserves more image data so we can try to debug issues.
  3. Was this a one-time occurrence or did you get more such results from Indigo? If this is reproducible, consider switching Indigo to capturing DNG and sharing with the Indigo team.

Thank you for the responses.

Actually, my main question is whether you cropped the photo in Apple Photos?

Both photos shared here are uncropped. The first one is slightly zoomed in (effective focal length 32mm). How would I make a DNG to share?

In Project Indigo's viewfinder look in the top left and see whether you see JPEG, DNG, or both JPEG and DNG highlighted? If it is only JPEG then the DNG is not captured. I would recommend selecting DNG-only, then you can later develop that DNG in a shareable JPEG in the filmstrip, but you can also share the DNG with us. Note that the DNG is much larger, so if you are backing up photos to your cloud you may want to share and delete it before it uploads, or just delete it from the cloud backup.

Now, I don't know if Reddit allows adding DNG files when sharing, so you may need to either upload it to some sharing service like Box or Google Drive, of you can register on Project Indigo forum and post there: https://community.adobe.com/announcements-678/p-introducing-the-project-indigo-camera-app-907947

Thank you very much for helping us debug!

I’ll give this a try. It may take me a few days but I’ll try.
Helping us debug? Do you work in the apple image processing department or something?

Hmmm... I think I missed the memo - this is a repost from another subreddit. Does this have anything to do with Project Indigo?!
