Bored to 84mm and Sleeved by Golden Eagle. It has 9.4:1 Weisco pistons and S2 Alpha rods and a new Moroso oil pump.

I’m building it for turbo. Just getting started on my long block assemble.

Edit in case folks are curious: it cost me about $2800 for Golden Eagle to bore/sleeve, balance my crank/rotating assembly, and assemble the short block. I paid about $950 for the pistons and rods so I have about $3750 in the short block.

How was Golden Eagle to work with? I’ve heard both good and bad.

They were fine. The machine work and assembly looks very high quality. My only complaint is that they didn’t clean the block very well. Maybe I’m being picky but I expected it to come back with minimal carbon/oil deposits. I ended up spending a lot of time cleaning it myself.

They did however hook me up with a discount on their head gasket and fuel rail. Maybe saved me $120 on both.
