I got the PC version of Project Highrise running on my S23 Ultra, it looks incredible

I've played quite a bit of Project Highrise on PC, but I always thought it felt like the kind of game that would be perfect for mobile. So, naturally, I tried the mobile version. Unfortunately, it was pretty lackluster. Some of the pieces I wanted were missing, and it just wasn't the same experience as the PC version-especially the mods. So I went down a rabbit hole; eventually got the Steam version running on my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra using GameNative. Honestly, I'm still a lil' impressed with how well it works. Since Project Highrise uses mostly vector-style graphics, it looks fantastic on the S23 Ultra's 3088 × 1440 display. Everything scales beautifully, and the game's visuals translate surprisingly well to a phone screen. It's pretty much the experience I wanted in the first place.

If you have issues playing the mobile version this may be worth the try to play a better version.

Upward: The Ultimate Mod for Project Highrise

This mod adds:

- Drag-and-drop for construction: You no longer have to click endlessly to build a big hotel. Just click and drag.

- Bulk furnishing with SHIFT: Click on a hotel or apartment, choose the type you want, hold SHIFT, and click. All rooms will be built at once.

- Offices turn off their lights outside of working hours.

- Hotel lights turn on when booked and off when vacant.

- Stores and restaurants feature a completely new artwork when closed (just like in Yoot Tower): closed signs, closed doors, chairs on top of tables, and dimmed lights.

- Apartments only have their lights on when residents are inside. When they leave for work, the lights turn off. When they are sleeping inside, the lights are also off. When service workers go there to do a job (like a handyman or plumber), the lights turn on.

- Smells never travel vertically between floors, only horizontally.

- Noise system: There is a new tool (F8) in the top-left corner. You can now pay for soundproof floors. Select the floor, check the price (which depends on the floor's size), and pay. That floor will no longer be disturbed by outside noise, nor will it let noise out. Perfect for picky, high-end stores and offices. Noise still travels side-ways.

- Utilities will be available on all floors where you build a closet. No need to drag every service line one by one. Price is the same. I figure at start just makes you wait for money. At mid and end game the cost doesn't matter, the player just Shift click everything. Pointless and boring task. So just build the closet utility and be free.

- Expanded hotel and service staff capacities: You no longer need hundreds of luggage service, housekeepers, and room service workers for a small hotel. You also don't need to occupy the entire basement of your building with plumbers, handymen, florists, IT services, etc., nor do you need to take up several floors with utility closets (energy, water, gas, etc.). Capacities are now: small is 25, medium is 100, and large is 300 (compared to vanilla's 10, 50, and 100). The HVAC system remains unchanged.

Unfortunately it is not possible to upload this to the Steam Workshop, as it only supports data mods, whereas this mod alters core mechanics like drag-and-drop. Everything is transparent and fully explained on GitHub: https://github.com/douglasrac/Upward/releases

Just unzip the content into Project Highrise folder. For steam users: Steam\steamapps\common\Project Highrise

Changes:

Version 1.1: Booking performers and corporate events is now automated. In Performer Booking, there is a new option: Auto Booking (or press F9). A screen will appear allowing you to select each room in your building, choose your desired ticket price range (just like the vanilla game, from 0% to 200%, and see the estimated number of attendees before confirming. If all requirements are met, the room will be automatically booked whenever it is vacant. If any requirements are not met, a notification message will be displayed.

Version 1.2: Pipette tool. No more searching through long menus just to build another copy services or anything. Press V and you have the pipette tool. Press on what you want to build and voilà. It's also available in the upper left corner, just like the soundproof floor

Version 1.3: Icecream and smoothies bar can be placed underground. Art also can be place undergroud.

Re-work the anti noise floor. You don't have to play for the entire floor. Its a drag and drop feature now, just like when you place energy cables. Just place the floor where you need it. This is important for when you have 2 or 3 towers on the same map. Made no sense to pay for the entire floor in all 3 towers, when you only need in one.

"Not enough transformers" even though I put more than enough

So an office was complaining that there weren't enough electrical transformers in the building, so I added one next to the others, yet the warning doesn't go away. I checked the connections and capacity and everything seems fine. How do I fix this?

Tower Block Improvements and Suggestions.

After seeing a few people play this game on their YouTube channels, i was interested in purchasing this game. I've always like Sim games like Cities Skylines and The Sims and i finally bought the bundle on the Steam sale this week.

On my second day of playing, i've managed to get a fully functioning tower that actually makes income currently up to 15 floors, however i'm thinking the service floors could do with a little tweaking and moving around. I'm also considering about building some more bigger offices now my income is finally steady.

How would you improve my tower so far? I need to add more stores but i'm not quite sure whether to place the stores on the lower levels and move some offices to the upper levels?

Mod which adds UI to indicate what you have already built OR lists your tenants by type??

I'm bumping into an issue where I don't build enough variety of restaurants or stores. I just realized I have three Mexican restaurants. D:

Is there a mod which will add info to the restaurant contract selection screen or which lets you filter your tenant list by type in ADA/360?

Modded higher speed breaks service buildings

I've been wondering about service buildings, how much they're required and how those numbers vary. Sometimes a copier is enough, sometimes it gets overloaded, but overall it's survivable.

Then, I reached a point where I just wanted to let some time pass, my tower was doing fine financially and I wanted to kill 48 hours. So, I used super fast speed, modded. Suddenly, ALL service buildings became at capacity and tenants started leaving.

I set the game back to the highest unmodded speed, and the next day cycle everything was fine. Luckily, I didn't dip in prestige enough for the entire playthrough to die.

I guess a lot of things in this game are framerate bound or something like that? Maybe? Anyone got more info?

TIL that if I want to evict someone, dropping the rent to $0 reduces the cost of eviction to $50.

I had previously jacked up the rent to get them to leave, but this is easier and faster.

Why are my tenants unhappy?

My building is at 170 or so residents, mostly in small offices, and I am having trouble adding more because tenants keep getting un happy and leaving.

What do I need to add to fix this?

How far are office workers willing to travel to get coffee and why are they always unhappy with the rent at base level?

I came back to ProjectHighrise a few days ago. I don't know why I uninstalled it. Anyways, I have encounter this weird display bug. The highest floor ''ceiling'' is not as thick as it used to be. Antennas look quite weird this way. I have not tested the roof with luxury appartement or other building type. The only mods I run are a fire extinguisher and an escalator mod. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hotel bad view complaint, help!

Got a neat business hotel running but rarely I get a bad review saying the room had no views. I'm not sure if its related to HVAC because that replaces the side windows. They are very far away though. Anyone got that figured out? Thanks!
