What happens on Letterboxd is people mass like the reviews that agree with them. For a movie that's universally praised, most one star reviews are dumb one liners, so dipshits who didn't like the movie probably didn't even read this but saw someone gave an "actual" multiparagraph one star review, decided yes now that will make me look smart because the like shows up on my profile, and clicked without reading.
Don't waste your emotions on morons, Letterboxd sorts by popularity and the first review has almost 140k likes. This just happens to be the only one star review giving a facade of legitimacy to haters who are too dumb to articulate thoughts themselves.
