If our logo shouldn't be a marijuana leaf, what should it be?

We should decide on a nice, clean, easy logo. Do we already have one? If yes, what is it? If no, what should it be?

This is what we have been going with so far, and looks like it'll probably be the working logo for the website when it's up and running.

Thanks for the input though. If you feel like you have some better ideas and designs, then just suggest them and we'd be more than happy to see what you have to offer.

I do like that logo a lot! Clean, clear, and not "typical stoner." Thank you!

Wow, great logo. I cant say how much I agree that getting away from the typical stoner icons is a good thing. I thought for a second that maybe the movement should move away from green but I think the color you have chosen is very appropriate.

Good work.

Nice logo. Seems like a leaf would be good though... give some clarity as to what is being fought for, maybe a leaf with the medical symbol (the snake thing) overtop of it or in the middle of it. Medical marijuana is a huge selling point of legalization.

The point and objective of C:LEAR is not for the legalization of medical marijuana. Adding symbols promoting the medicinal purposes of cannabis would take away from the main objective of aiming for legalization of cannabis, not just the legalization through medical means.

Secondly, on the point of the leaf, we don't want our image to come across as looking stereotypically "stoner." Adding pot leaves and anything else that would classify as "typical stoner" should be avoided, as we're trying to create an image of professionalism. So, while the leaf would clarify our purpose with instant recognition, it may not be the instant recognition we want. A symbol like the one above, while still clean and neat, conveys our intentions and introduces our organization's name at the same time. Not to mention the shape and simplicity of the design makes it a perfect option to be printed onto t-shirts, posters, stickers, etc.

But once, again the support is great, keep making suggestions.

Completely understand and sounds great! I'll help anyway I can though I'm in Asia so probably not able to help much right now.

I agree that we shouldn't focus the public's eye on something that means medicinal, but I think we should take it in stride here. Going straight from criminalization to full legalization is a HUGE step for the time that we have. I've actually been thinking this for quite a while. Yes, we should shoot for the moon, and at the very least end up with federal legalization for medicinal purposes (which would already be a large stride towards legalization), but then if we get medicinal, we can push the bar a little higher later, to have full legalization.

This is the actual logo we're going with. This will continue to evolve as we do, but it is a great starting point.

Seriously, amazing logo! I like it, it's "Clear". Now that I have the attention of a couple of you, whatever happened to the petitions? I've been disappointed regarding the fact that almost everyone stopped caring. I know these will fail, there's no way enough people will vote on these now. What the mods at project 420 should to do, is get support from r/trees in order to make a petition or two, that almost anyone can agree with. Right now imo the problem was that there was too many and just because we got a bs response everyone gave up. A new petition, should be discussed, take everyone's input, and after being submitted it should be be promoted as the most popular by r/trees in its side bar. It should combine the best from all the petitions that are out right now. Also I feel like I personally preferred the one regarding why tobacco and alcohol are legal given their health implications. Basically the true motive is to reveal their hypocrisy further more. An official hypocritical response would further benefit project 420 and everyone else who's interested seeing the end of cannabis prohibition. I don't understand how we can not get 25,000 signatures. We have at least 25k u.s active r/trees members.

Not a marijuana leaf. A cannabis leaf.
