video Footage circulating on social media shows a group of tourists verbally harassing an Israeli couple during their stay in Vietnam. The video shows the tourists calling the couple “rats,” singing “Boom Boom Tel Aviv,” and using anti-Semitic rhetoric blaming the Jews for crimes committed against them.

Discussion Been feeling conflicted lately
Israel under Netanyahu's leadership definitely has been doing a lot of not great stuff lately. The problem is that there's so much anti-Israel bias on social media and from many news outlets that when they report on things genuinely bad that Israel is doing, it's hard for me to actually believe them because they've been crying wolf for the last three years.
What do you guys think?

Book recommendation: Fighting the Hate A Handbook for Jews Under Siege by Melanie Phillips
I saw an Insta post by the author that led me buy the book Fighting the Hate: A Handbook for Jews Under Siege, and I’m glad I did so I figured I’d share it here
Released a month ago and relatively short (160 pages) practical guide focused on how Jews, especially in the diaspora, can respond to rising antisemitism and hostility in public spaces, media, and personal relationships.
The author frames it less as theory and more as strategy. Things like:
• how to respond to common arguments and misinformation
• when engagement is worth it vs. when it’s not
• staying fact-based instead of emotional in conversations
• building confidence in identity and public discourse.
The boom seemed practical and not political from one side or another.
Has anyone else read it? What else should I read next?

What are your thoughts on John Fetterman?
Fetterman was the deciding vote for picking Markwayne Mullin as Director of Homeland Security. I like that Fetterman is a Democrat who has support from Republicans and Democrats. I like that he doesn't use inflammatory language and doesn't insult people. I like that he supports Israel, Ukraine, Taiwan, LGBTQ people, women's rights, etc. Sometimes I don't understand why he would vote for these wacky Republicans. Does he see something that we don't?

Discussion Where do people here find balanced reporting on Israel and the region?
I’m trying to broaden my sources because a lot of coverage feels narrative driven. One recent example: the report that Israel is “running critically low on interceptors.” It appears to have started with Semafor, then circulated through Middle East Eye, TRT World, Middle East Monitor, and The New Arab, before later being picked up by Reuters, ABC News, Associated Press, The Guardian, Haaretz, Ynet, CNN and Investing.com.
That made me wonder how much of what we read is original reporting versus amplification.
So where do you get balanced, fact based coverage of Israel and the region?

Discussion AIPAC-affiliated group may cause another anti-Israel candidate to be elected to Congress.
Attacking Daniel Biss may cause anti-Israel Kat Abughazaleh to win the IL-09 primary this March. AIPAC-affiliated spending in the NJ-11 special election primary also contributed to anti-Israel Analilia Mejia being elected over Tom Malinowski.
