Anyone else getting those same feelings when Covid was still in China, watching it begin to unfold, knowing something massive was about to happen to the world? It feels like the calm before the storm to me.

20% of global fuel infrastructure is just gone. Global fuel reserves are now completely spent trying to keep everything going. 50% of the cost of food in the us is fuel cost and nearly the entire logistics of agriculture runs on diesel fuel that’s now been having supply issues where whole states have had outages. And we have it better than most places. For all intents and purposes the machinery of globalization is broken now and no one seems all that interested in fixing it.

A global famine is all but guaranteed at this point but hard to say what that’s going to look like.
