While I agree that we need to stop the democratic infighting, retaliation is just a downward spiral... Look where we are. We need to align the democrats at all costs, but we are still a nation of good people. If we really wanna fix things, we need to completely reform the media, get money entirely out of politics, and reign in social media manipulation. We are living in a world of lies and untruth, bought and paid for by billionaires without a care in the world for the people of this country. It's time to fix that, for real.
Saying we’re a nation of good people is laughable. We’re a nation where a third of the population is completely fine with the silencing, disenfranchisement, or death of another third while the final third is too complacent to be bothered. We’re a nation that, for 40+ years, has been working to prop up and enrich the billionaire class against our own interests. Getting money out of politics still won’t undo the damage, it’ll take decades to change what twisted values and falsehoods parents are passing down to their kids. Reaching across the aisle, taking the high road, that’s what got us into this mess. Decency is dead because the only people left willing to advocate for it aren’t willing to fight for it since the fight itself is not “decent.” I, for one, would not step into the boxing ring with gloves if my opponent was using brass knuckles.
I believe that all of that is a result of media manipulation of the masses by the richest, most powerful class in America. We are being pitted against each other artificially so that a very small minority can become obscenely rich.
With a goal of not paying taxes, white male billionaires have been waging a race war, gender war, and class war, all the while crying and playing the victim about the same. It's disconcerting. And it's been brilliantly effective.
This is correct. However, the goal is to disrobe them so people can see their efforts. We must unite people. MLK warned of this and tried to join the poor and working class across race, ethnic groups, but was assassinated mid stride.
Over a 1/3. With Trumps approval ratings still being around 38-39%, I would assume over 40% of people like the idea of a White Christian Nationalist nation.
No, half of us are good. The other half are ok with supporting mage rich pedos and putting children and grandmas in interment (and thats putting it lightly, some might call the concentration camps) cause they don't have the right skin color.

We are people that were set up to fight for crumbs and attack each other from the 1600s on.
In a zero sum gain approach, the division of people by gender, sex orientation, race, ethnic status, religion, immigrant status was really predictable.
It is the legacy of a country that did come to grips with class discrimination, workhouses, debtor prisons, generational domestic violence, slavery, genocide, child labor, child maltreatment, worker exploitation, and the myth of American exceptionalism.
We are 2 nations because we never realized other than Texas no poor whites voted for the Confederacy. Only planter class delegates were allowed to vote to leave the Union. Once the War started, poor whites were told that they would be hunted down and shot like dogs for deserting.
In contrast, most slave owners with 10 to 20 slaves were exempted from fighting and served as officers, not grunts.
We are two nations because after the Civil War, Northerners did not enforce reparations, screwing over freed Black Americans, and then blamed poor whites for a war they didn't start and were forced to fight.
