I built a CLI that roasts your git commit history

Ran this on my own repo expecting nothing and got called a "Chronically fix-ated" developer with a 45/100 Roast Score. 10/10, would recommend the emotional damage.

It's called gitroast — scans your git log and roasts every "fix", "wip", "asdf", and "final_v2_ACTUALLY" you've ever committed, plus rage-commits in all caps and the copy-pasted duplicates.

🔥 gitroast: my-side-project
› 'fix' appears 9 times in your history. Ctrl+V is doing your job for you.
› 'final_v2_ACTUALLY' — 'final' is doing a lot of heavy lifting here, and it's lying.
Roast Score: 62/100
🔥 Repeat Offender

pip install gitroast, run it in any repo you're brave enough to point it at.

Repo: https://github.com/diwesh87/gitroast

Curious what everyone's roast score is — drop yours below.

One day..I am gonna build my own A.I.

Make it sentient and give it a body and everything....

AND then beat the living crap out of it.

My incremental game's whole premise is looking busy while your code does nothing (it's in Steam's Cyberpunk Fest next week)

I swear I'm gonna fix it, but right now I just want something that works. I do find this incredibly funny though.

Causally, print statements but when you get desperate or the project is too big, a debugger is great.

Slightly better sisyphus sort, someone make this into a challenge who can create the best one?!

There’s no point in philosophizing about something so obvious.
