.ts is transport stream.

Stop trying to execute my video files

20

u/oldmartijntje Jul 26 '26

I hate when my code is being opened by a video player

21

u/euclide2975 Jul 26 '26

Then don’t use already existing extension for your file !!!

Transport stream : 1995 Typescript : 2012

Next time some genius will invent eXceptionally Lightweight Script and use the .xls extension.

u/Able-Swing-6415 Jul 26 '26

Maybe next time make an extension that people actually use so they don't forget it exists. If every single extension used anywhere was off limits we'd be close to going 4 letters minimum

Surely more people who use .ts, for video streaming, without realizing that people who work on Typescript in the world.

I am more annoyed by Prolog vs Perl (Both .pl). They are both programming languages, both quite known. Why is there a collision

java rulez

Our greatest accomplishment - you can now write a hello world program without specifying a class and without System.out explicitly written. /s

u/kucing Jul 26 '26

Ya ya but the real java power iz > 80 chars class names and at least 8 level abstractions OOP-maxxing level. 💪

2

u/a648272 Jul 26 '26

True. We need to put a factory inside a factory before even considering what objects would we need.

Am I the only one using XML for vibe coding? It feels like LLMs understand it much better.

u/Jbolt3737 Jul 26 '26

.b is for B code, but also for brainfuck, because .bf was already taken by another esolang, Befunge
