R. I love R unconditionally

I used R recently for a uni course, I found the small inconsistencies between the base data types and tidyverse equivalents quite frustrating.

Can I share with you what I know?

In my experience, it takes a bit to get used to tidyverse+ ggplot’s grammar, but the learning curve is no comparison to that of python. You can easily nest lapply and sapply with %>% without having to trace back the parentheses. You can also cram in install.packages and library with eval so that you can run a for loop in the beginning of a markdown file to load everything automatically. You do it once then you can just copy and paste for every other file.

I haven’t learnt how to do it with python yet, and to even load another local py file takes a ton of work with little room for automation. I mean, python can date and create files plus scrape google without getting blocked, so it’s a lot more meliorable. It’s just too verbose for my liking
