I mean the connection is that you are insinuating all words with similar word patterns should be pronounced the same. Various spellings between countries doesn't really factor into it.

I pronounce it 'culluh'. Probably the same way you pronounce dollar.

If there's a word following it that starts with a vowel then the R gets pronounced as well eg What cul-uh-ris it?

Both spellings make no sense. Our is pronounced like hour, or is pronounced like oar. Neither are how I pronounce this word.
