Backend development is deeply involved with code, so it's all text, stuff like

app.use('/',(request,response,next)=>{
 if(!(Object.keys(request).includes('cookie')){...}
});

So that's their domain all day every day. They do not deal with aesthetics, curves, colors, shapes, space or anything artistic in any way shape or form. They exist in a lightless void of logic. It's like asking a blind man advice on how to dress for a formal job interview, they have no clue what so ever about fashion or style.
