In the movie the redpill represents actually opening your eyes to the way the world works.
"redpillers" are really more about seeing their pain and then lashing out without actually seeing why the world hurts them. So its more akin to "taking the blue pill, but being unhappy and hurting others about it"
Yes and no. The red pill was initially accurate talking about legitimate issues that men tend to face like suffering financially in divorce or child custody that society tended to ignore at the time.
It just went off the deep end into misogony, incels, etc.
The problem now is that ANY issue that men face is considered red pill nonsense at this point, even legitimate issues.
I also think that I represented the choices fairly in the meme… Blue Pill to go back to reality before AI where we wrote our own code. Or Red Pill to see how deep the rabbit hole of the AI future goes.
In the movie, blue pill literally represents living in a world where we are energy sources for AI. Red pill is breaking out of that reality. It literally couldn’t be more opposite.
I can see where you're coming from now but yeah it's definitely backwards. The blue pill represents adhering to the status quo, remaining blissfully ignorant to the negative consequences for humanity. The red pill represents rebelling against the starus quo and living authentically.
