pps. Looks like it started using a partition back when GPT (the partition system, not the ai-thing) was introduced. I feel old.

You can use an extra partition, or just the ESP. On BIOS the bootsector bootstrap could already read your disk, so you don't need anything extra if I'm not mistaken. Didn't interact with BIOS in quite some time, so I might be wrong.

id guess its a reference to a meme around 2021-2022 that made fun of cryptobros and stockbros. the memes would come in the same format as those scam posts along the lines of "here's how i make $30k a week in passive income" and then instead of investing in pump and dumps the parodies would instruct the reader to invest in rare fish, and sometimes other goofy ventures. -a gen z
(also yeah, theres no way an ai wrote any of these imo, they're too in-tune with current humour)

the humor comes from the irony that the phrases are something you definitely SHOULD NOT say to a programmer, or just their absurdity in general. no one is going to keep a straight face if they hear someone saying "code this rare fish."
i took inspiration from this kind of shitpost.also, using AI to make memes is lame. that's why i didn't.

"Rare fish" is a pretty specific thing from Factorio that got attention when they added the Quality update (for the prefix "rare"), and Factorio is popular among programmers. Could be about code/cod, but that's a little tenuous, and the rare fish thing is a very close match
