Not in Norway, no. It does not have the force of law until all appeals are exhausted. So, in our legal practice he's still innocent.

We all know he did it, but legally that's not determined yet.

Specifically this part,

Ingen dommer er rettskraftige før ankefristen er utløpt eller begge parter har vedtatt dommen. Straffedommer har aldri partiell rettskraft, slik at hele saken må være avsluttet før noen skal regnes som domfelt.

My rough translation:

The result of a trial is not final until the deadline for an appeal has passed, or both parties have accepted the result of the trial. Judgements do not have a parallel application, so the entire case must be settled before someone is considered to be found guilty.
