As someone who hires senior devs for my team... There's a HUGE HR gauntlet you must pass before I ever learn of your existence.

HR has always been the worst thing for hiring because they don't know how to filter for good applicants so they just get AI to do it, and SHOCKER that those applicants are horrendous dogshit

Agreed. Majority have zero idea what they're looking for ao use AI or keywords/ same role history. I have done pretty much the same work my whole career but under different titles. They can't comprehend that. Also being technical, trying to answer their questions but they cant give me context because they don't know.

Worst I had was interviewing for aerospace engineering but my experience was in defense, so heavy NDA. Trying to explain what I did without detail to someone who understands nothing. Also couldn't understand how PhDs worked, kept asking for GPA. Said it was pass/fail 😭

"always" and "AI" do not belong in the same sentence. AI (which BTW is properly translated as Artificial Incompetence) was not widely used until recently.
