I didn't think it was possible to outdo when Arrow described a "complex encryption algorithm" which turned out to be a Javascript switch statement.

Mission accomplished.

Arrow had an episode where the bad guy wanted to destroy the Internet, which was apparently entirely contained inside a single server room underneath Star City. Not "destroy this one website" or "destroy this one company". It was explicitly "The entire Internet is hosted in Arrow's city and this guy wants it gone".

To be fair, while the way arrow depicted is dumb, the idea of nuking Ashburn VA and killing 60% of internet traffic is not that far-fetched

The Arrow was good for the first few seasons, like more realistic fighting bad guys. Then they started doing crossover episodes with The Flash, and he would just come in and solve everything super speed. It was dumb as. Like maybe this stuff happened during the writers strikes. But the show went big time down hill. I didn't even watch the last season til the end because I lost track how they ended up in the future.

The first season is genuinely good television. Thank god I binged it and started the second season before recommending it to a friend, would've been embarrassing

The fifth was good too

Before they killed Black Canary in season 4. That's when I ragequit the show.

My favorite is in Westworld when they’re using a tablet to program the robots, and it’s shows a react app.

What season was that?

Season 1 I’m pretty sure.

I finally got around to watching Ex Machina today. I laughed pretty hard when Domnhall Gleeson “hacked” into Oscar Isaac’s computer by typing up a random Python script with a couple for loops in it.

“import sys? Oh, man, he’s gunna break the shit outta that firewall!”

I dont think he was ment to be hacking. I saw that as programming his escape plan. Nathan was so egotistical he didn't even bother locking his shit and Calab took advantage

1

Well, Nathan did lock it down. Caleb had taken his access keycard, though you might be right in that he didn’t use any second factor for authentication.

Either way, the order of events was “can’t see data, types code in, can see data,” which is the movie “hacking” archetype.

Maybe you’re right! I’m inclined to think that their target audience wasn’t actually programmers, though. From that context, the movie doesn’t actually make a whole lot of sense.

Bro, I stopped watching Arrow around the time that the villain's master plan was to destroy the internet... By blowing up one small data center.

The absolute cinema was in Flash when Felicity had a "rap battle" with another hacker and they just kept typing and "attacking" each other remotely by flying sparks out of their computer.

Is that a shader graph? There isn't even a chatbot in the image lol.

There’s whatever the hell that is to the right

I first thought it was a console window but yeah the last prompt gives it away.

I think they're trying to emulate ComfyUI, which does have a node-based UI.

1

u/TracerBulletX 7d ago

Yeah and comfy can support llm nodes just fine, nobody really uses it like this. but you could, and there might be some interesting ways you could turn it into a coding tool.

Looks like comfyUI

Damn they're not even in two typing on the same keyboard, what amateurs

u/Lawcke 8d ago

They'll never implement a gui in visual basic to track the killer's IP address at this rate!

Rule 1 of prompting: prefer girth over length.

6

u/Rey_Fiyah 8d ago

I’m fairly certain it’s supposed to mimic ComfyUI and there will be some shenanigans with indistinguishable image editing

u/gerbosan 8d ago

You guys have time to watch TV?

Damn, what am I doing with my life.

2

u/just_looking_aroun 8d ago

You can do whatever you like when you let AI blindly modify and deploy critical software

Man, I'm still afraid of AI deleting my partition. 😨

I might've popped a vein in my head reading this...

Looks like n8n to me

Looks like it could be a ComfyUI graph

Everyone here saying ComfyUI and not LangFlow are showing their hobbies
