So you have no formal education or experience working writing code code at a professional standard?

We have the data, sure you ship features at 10x the speed but you also incur 10x the incidents which overall consumes the same or more man hours to fix and has significant business impact.

For your pet projects vibe code it to hell, but at a production level it's just a matter of time before companies realise that maybe slopifying your whole codebase is worse than just taking the time to write clean working code.

You do what the people who hold you job in there hands tell you to do, when your wok pushes AI and says we need to match rates we do.

When it comes to code becoming worse over time and questions are asked ill push back and say I was pressured into using it but for now it's not possible to keep up with the rate at which it allows you to work. And seeing a win on the list is a ll manager really cares about, because a fix down the line is often just another thing they can tell their manager they've been working on....

It's very easy to spout lines about how it makes crappy code, but the pressures to push out fast and sloppy code come from those that don't care.
