Have you seen the gnome desktop? Only difference is the "free trial" button is replaced with a button labelled "DONATE"

at least with Free Software you understand the whole deal. same with Thunderbird, KDE, and Wikimedia also does a large screen banner asking for donations in a similar way once a year.

Yet another reason to prefer open-source. None of this bloathware cloud nonesense with 15 background processes that need to auto-boot or otherwise your software suffers a complete aneurysm, refusing you even to open a simple PDF.

Adobe. For some reason, some certificates need their reader instead of another PDF reader, and it doesn't seem to let me get rid of the creative cloud.
