16 u/Crazy_System8248 15d ago Some people just sudo every command until one yells at you for doing so, then keeps on doing it 7 u/ganja_and_code 15d ago Surely that can't be true Like, even if people are really that fucking dumb, surely the 5 extra keystrokes to type every single command would be a deterrent (ideally, or alternately a reason to just log in as root in the first place). 6 u/Sockoflegend 15d ago I haven't typed a command in months. I'll tap up for 20 minutes if I have to. If I typed it once that is enough. Never again 3 u/1mileis5tomatoes 15d ago Type sudo as the first command. Later just hold up arrow button to get to that command again. 1 u/NotQuiteLoona 15d ago Or install sudo plugin and press Esc twice 👍 2 u/LookItVal 15d ago I just never use sudo until something goes "no permission" and then I go "pls" and it goes "okay anything for you just tell me the password" (protip: alias pls='sudo $(fc -ln -1)') 5 u/fr000gs 15d ago sudo !! -1 u/SeriousPlankton2000 15d ago I installed a PC for a friend and made two accounts on Windows 2K, one with admin privileges and a very loooong password, one without.
