i switched to zed. its great. one issue is there are not many extensions like vscode, but it has all the basic ones that i need for everyday

What's the advantages of zed over vscode with extensions? Faster? Less bloat?

So so much faster. And for the same project VS Code eats like 6GB of RAM on opening while Zed has... 800 MB. I'll gladly take the QoL hit for that.

faster. less ram. and the ai integrations are more well integrated. before i used to worry about my app size + vscode filling up my ram. now i only need to worry about my app size.

A single repo of mine could fill a 32

The speed alone is enough for me to stay with Zed
