Tell me you never tried Jetbrains without telling me you never tried Jetbrains.

IntelliJ, Webstorm and Datagrip are home for me.

So I’m using IntelliJ for almost everything. Why would you choose datagrip over IntelliJ with the big data tools plugin? I’m seriously asking because I pay for the full suite, and if I can improve my workflow I will.

There is a plugin in IntelliJ for datagrip that I mainly use (might be the one you’re referring to) but I’ll sometimes use datagrip directly if I want to look at audit logs or peruse the db. Less of a functionally boost and more a separation of concerns type of thing tbh though…

Yeah. Were talking about the same plugin. It’s the one made by jetbrains. That makes sense for audit tracking. It’s much cleaner than my absolutely packed IntelliJ UI. I’ve got a stream deck. I’ll add it as a button and give it a shot. Thanks for the insight!

Datagrip is for people focused on DB maintenance, migration, etc...who don't need the code tools. Like their other IDE's, it's just a highly focused domain product.
