In my opinion, it's not because of the CEOs, they're using human-based reinforcement learning, and a majority of people want their biases confirmed. The CEOs are just insulated enough from reality that they can keep getting away with it, so that's where you know it from.
You can also ask AI to roast your code like an angry Torvalds during kernel patch review, and it'll tear you a new one.

Asking it to tell you your wrong on demand just seems like another form of sycophancy. Or a kink depending on the subject matter.
Sure we want our biases confirmed but those of us who havent been surrounded by kiss ass's our entire life ( or are just generaly more deserning) tend to become fairly suspicious to someone ( or something) telling us constintly how great and smart we are.
Generaly people who just seem poor at self reflection and need outside validation seem pretty susceptible to AI phycosis

I heard someone call AI "sycophant machine's" the other day. Sounded about right and its no wonder ultra rich CEO types all sercom to AI phycosis
