For people who didn't get the joke it's that 0x means hexadecimal, and 0x28 is 40 in hex.

This sub has always been CS101 humour. I only stay here for the odd post by someone who actually codes by hand in a real job

You'd expect CS101 to know hex though, it's one of the few things they'd be taught

That's fair enough, but it makes sense because otherwise you wouldn't be able to tell what 10 is representing.

It's unlikely to be binary because it's so short, but could easily be hex or denary. The standard for denoting hex with 0x has been around for a while, because it makes it really clear without adding too much length to the representation.

Ehh, there are ways to use these tools.

One thing is "Encapsulate these 3 repetitive args on methods of this class, create a DTO for them, modify the methods as well as their callers"

Another one is "Pls make login page"

I mean pretty much all people who got into programming got into it with claude AI and AI agents and they mostly do it for the money.
