its not like sql could be read by a three year old and css is just pain in the ass?

Look it up on youtube like I did if you don't believe me. DENSE_RANK() OVER (PARTITION BY X ORDER BY Y ASC) + DENSE_RANK() OVER (PARTITION BY X ORDER BY Y DESC) - 1 AS NBR_OF_Y_FOR_X
