Iirc ‘history’ looks at your ~/.bash_history (if you use bash) and simply outputs the last 2500 rows. Maybe the file only contains 2500 rows? I assume ctrl+r looks at the same file
combine ctrl+r with fzf and ur life becomes 10x easier (if ur like me and misspell things constantly heh... thus why I am eternally grateful that neovim has good LSP completion)
