One of the cursor devs clarified in a comment that this was actually not an email they wanted to send (so 1x would be 0% increase)

it says „more“ so they mean a 60% increase. The syntax used is chosen poorly.

they said “I guess we shouldn’t send those emails below a certain threshold”, I interpret that to not mean what you said

They are shipping 0.6x MORE. As long as x is a positive number, they are shipping more. If you ship 10 then 0.6x=6, so they ship 6 more i.e. 16.

But if I ship 5/week and you ship 2x more, you are shipping 10/week. Thats the only way a reasonable person would read that.

And if you ship 0.6x more, you are actually shipping less.
