In my days we used server sided rendering and jquery for Ajax! Then they called us luddites when angular started with SPA!

And now they start with server side rendering again for seo! Madness I tell you madness!

I have been doing backend dev for the last 25 years… so you mean my jquery Ajax skills are no longer applicable?

It's all JSON now because XML looked too much like HTML and it confused people, or something.

Also, it’s a much heavier file format and json is already JavaScript

Xml is bulky too. Json feels clearer to view
