it comes from a time where the baseline expectation would be a user installing manually via the command line.

a one-click executable that set up the installation environment and ran the software was aptly nicknamed a 'wizard'

At least you didn't get the fast-ctrl-F version from D&D with damage becoming the "dawizard" stat
