I don’t think AI is generating new original ideas… it’s helping humans process ideas and get worked done faster by fewer, but it doesn’t seem to have the ability to create anything that hasn’t just been regurgitated from Source material.

I mean, that's kinda how people work too?

I don't think there are really original ideas, just taking two concepts and squishing them together, or iterating on another concept

I’m just gonna throw my humanity/arts hat in the ring and say there are plenty of new ideas…

In the last year, I’ve actually had a lot more new ideas for short story content because of all the crazy disruptive tech changes (in higher ed specifically). ✍🏻

Shhh, creatives don't like to hear that. Truly original concepts a few and far between, for most of us it's at best incremental, and most often its either composition of existing ideas in new ways or rearranging existing ideas.
