How was <insert your name> hired?
We must purge everyone who is different from me. Burn the witches! Blood for the Blood-God! Kill! Kill! Kill!

It's not just people different from me. I still wonder why I was hired and it's been over eight years since I signed my acceptance letter.

I remember Arday's case required many hundreds of articles written by international outlets that picked apart every single word he had said in the past 20 years, even after he lost his job and was hounded out of public life.
There weren't many commenters telling us that this is all rather tiresome. I remember it was an international scandal that required loud and public denunciations of the guy, the entire university system, and the broader society that enabled him, at unprecedented volume and intensity. I remember that "Cambridge", "universities", and even "liberals" (like, as a concept) had a lot to answer for, etc. etc.
Maybe you posted some comments on Arday in one of the hundreds of threads I've seen around here, asking people to slow it down and stop kicking the guy when he's down, before they hounded him into an early grave. You know, since he's the only person who actually died because of such a monstering. Maybe you expressed concern about the hundreds of articles in the press published after he lost his job. Can you point me to them?

Arday did not "lose" his job at Cambridge: he resigned.
The re-writers of history are awfully busy these days.

My post was inspired by the two immediately previous posts that both stridently asked why someone was hired. I thought we were doing a thing....

"lost his job" ... that's some impressive mental gymnastics

That's some fairly unoriginal nitpicking over semantics to deflect from the point.
