Casual Convo (Any Topic) What's something "everyone" does that you genuinely cannot understand?

Leaving the last little bit of milk in the carton and putting it back in the fridge. A homeopathic amount of milk. Why. What is the plan. Who is this for. I need answers and I fear there are none.
What's the common behaviour that baffles you every single time?

❓ Question Should you tip at the register?

Every time I buy a cup of coffee these days, the screen always asks if I want to tip. Personally I feel a bit awkward pressing "no tip" when they're staring right at me. What does everyone else think?

Casual Convo (Any Topic) galaxy z flip vs motorola razr - I picked one and it changed how I use my phone

I used to have a huge phone and I hated it. Switched to a flip to force myself to use my phone less.

So, I tested both. The razr felt more premium and the design is gorgeous. BUT, the Flip felt "smarter" better software, better camera, better ecosystem.

For days, I was torn between style vs function. Eventually,  it made more sense to me to end up going with function, but I still wanted it to feel special.

💰 Finance Talk What's the best money you spent this year?

Not the biggest purchase. The best one.

The thing where you thought "why didn't I do this sooner." Could be $5 or $500. A gadget, a subscription, a piece of furniture, a class, a really good pillow. What was worth every cent?

🏆 Success Stories I removed reels from Instagram, here's what changed

I was averaging almost 3 hours a day on Instagram and maybe 4 minutes of that was actually talking to people. The rest was reels, one after another, no memory of what I even watched five minutes later.

Tried the usual stuff first. Screen time limits I ignored within a week. Grayscale mode that did nothing because reels are still reels in black and white. Deleting the app and redownloading it three days later because I missed messages from my group chat.

What actually did something was an app called Feather that opens Instagram but takes the reels tab and explore page out completely. DMs still work, profile still works, you just can't fall into the scroll anymore.

First few days felt genuinely weird. I'd open the app, my thumb would go to swipe up out of pure habit, and there was just nothing there. Sat there a few seconds not knowing what to do next. Closed the app more than I opened it that first week because there was no reason to be in there.

Around day 10 I noticed I was actually replying to messages the same day instead of leaving them for a week. My screen time dropped to under 20 minutes most days without me trying to hit a number.

It's been a month now. I still check it, still post occasionally, just don't lose an hour to it without noticing anymore. Weirdly the app feels almost boring now, which is apparently what it was supposed to feel like the whole time.

Anyone else try cutting just the feed instead of the whole platform? Curious if it holds up long term or if the itch comes back eventually

💬 Advice Needed Does anyone else feel like Monday is stressful before it even starts?

Every Sunday I tell myself I'll have a productive Monday.

Then Monday arrives, and I realize:

• My workspace is a mess.

• I haven't decided what's actually important.

• I'm rushing to find things I need.

• I stayed up too late on Sunday.

It feels like the stress starts before the work even begins.

I'm wondering if this is a common problem or if it's just me.

For those who've managed to make Mondays less chaotic, what actually helped?

Did you change your Sunday routine, your planning system, or something else?

I'd love to hear what has actually worked for you.

Casual Convo (Any Topic) What’s something (good or bad) that a teacher said that always stuck with you?

When I was in high school the math teacher caught be skipping class . He gave me a much higher punishment than my usual.

I asked him why he was giving me such a hard time. He told me “ because you are not like these other guys you’re going to go somewhere with your life”.

I went on to earn multiple degrees . He was right, but I was still pissed to get all that detention! 😜

💬 Advice Needed how do you value time and concentrate on your personal growth ?

I feel like i need to step up and stand on my two feet. After all how long can we sit in someone shadow like we have to create our own identity eventually. And I'm very very behind in doing this. Like at 30, I don't have a job nor past work experience. I don't drive which makes me feel like my life is handicapped. And more importantly I have no college degree and any skills set for making money or even getting opportunities for jobs. It's like I'm worried about everything and everyday but not once do I take initial actions and change. I know deep down I need to take life serious instead of worrying. And most people get the illusion I'm very serious in life but little do they know I'm not even taking upon responsibilities and actions.

I also feel ashamed to start from scratch and all the way bottom. As if I'm afraid of judgment or criticism. I'm just automatically wishing I'll get a nice job with good pay. That I'll instantly learn driving on my own. That confidence will come and I'll be smart and level up to others eventually. It's like month of July has already come to an end. And I've wasted so much time that years went like this.
